She allegedly called one girl an “acne fucker,” which prompted the girl to leave the room in tears. Broyles allegedly called another girl a “Hispanic fucker” and another a “judgy fucker.”

Like there is a valid argument that neither direct military intervention, nor poorly calibrated sanctions will have the desired effect. Like the various interests such as Belgian diamond jewelers or Italian luxury clothing tried to lobby for exclusions? That is bad and dumb. Sanctions that only harm the working class Russians and cause them misery while leaving the elites unharmed? Those are inhumane and counterproductive.

But that was not what she said or communicated. And its possible the underlying framework that led to the statement is reasonable and not actually dumb, but regardless how she said it was dumb.
