Brilliant.

More for Leftists than liberals, but a great video on Accelerationism.

I guess I’ll put this here. I like to think of myself as a liberal. I believe in progressive causes. And, yeah, I try to support the party and I’ll give money when I can. Except, please, Democrats, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEND ME FOUR DOZEN EMAILS A DAY BEGGING FOR MONEY.

I just did a count and I’ve deleted 35 so far today, and there are eight hours in the day left.

And this is not an unusual day. This has been like this for months.

Huh, I donated to a bunch of different senatorial campaigns in the 2020 election (ask me how they worked out… no, wait, don’t, but at least we got the Georgia runoffs, where I figured they were getting enough and didn’t donate), and I religiously clicked the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every political fundraising email and it seems to have worked out. I still get the occasional text and even robocall, but I’m pretty quick to reply “STOP” to the texts and they seem to be almost gone.

Of course, I’ll probably donate to some “tight” races again, and start the whole cycle over…

I just unsubscribed to them all. I guess it was some morbid curiosity to see if they would ever wise-up to the fact that they’re just pissing-off people with all these emails.

And the ones that wanted to know why I unsubscribed, I unloaded on them.

A strange story:

So stand your ground laws don’t specify what weapon you use, so totally okay here?

Um…what’s stupid about this?

The fact that Pelosi has made it her life’s work to make it fail is pretty stupid.

Regarding the “Blind Trust” “loophole” - it ain’t a loophole, it’s a black hole…

Shaub has been hammering his point for days. I’m not sure what to make of that, tbh, but he’s really marked this as his hill to die on which makes me wonder about his sense of perspective and has the unintended effect of making me discount his concerns. I mean, it’s getting to the point that it seems like he views this one bill as the end of democracy. THAT SAID, I wouldn’t say he’s without a valid point because it could certainly stand to have some added clarity & regulation that would hold up to court scrutiny.

I’m thinking it would be fine to say if you are in Congress, you can’t own stock in anything other than publicly traded mutual funds.

Would that be majorly limiting on members of Congress? Yep. That’s cool with me.

More like years.

Agreed.

Fully agree with this.
Let them all use Vanguard.

Seems like a “perfect is the enemy of the good” situation

“In a moment of intense frustration and anger, I let the situation get the best of me and I hold myself accountable for these comments. For that I am sorry,” Martinez said in a statement provided to ABC7.

I hold myself accountable, but none of you can!

Looks like she’s not up for election again until 2024. Hopefully she’s pressured to resign but if not, not hard to replace her with another Democrat that hasn’t been recorded making such stupid racist remarks.
