I’m not going to list them all, but I’ve lived in 10 different cities/towns (something like 30 different domiciles), not counting the 6 months on board an aircraft carrier. I’ve pegged all four corners of the continental U.S and even made a decent showing in the midwest.

In Michigan, you’d have to say Ann Arbor. Though the town has become ridiculously corporatized now. It was great back when most of the restaurants and stores were still family-owned. And the traffic is just nuts for a town that size.

Overall? Probably my favorite would be Tallahassee, for most purposes. But the summer weather there I hated, that’s why I moved north.

I also really liked Stevens Point. And I quite like Troy now.

When I was going to school there I couldn’t believe how all the apartments were owned by huge conglomerates. Talk about price fixing.

@Nightgaunt, did you like Spokane? I really like Coeur d’Alene but wouldn’t mind taking a position in Spokane for a couple of years, I think, despite the pay cut. I recall that Idaho used to be pretty bad with white supremacists, or at least the news where I was made it seem that way.
