Fit For A King is definitely a game worth playing, if you have the same nostalgia for Ultima IV-V as I do!
I played a few hours of it and completed the story once, so that will give you an idea of how big it is. But I clearly missed a lot of stuff and have ideas for how I could play differently next time.
It plays and looks just like Ultima, but the world (obviously) is much smaller, though still open. And because you are the king (Henry VIII, specifically), you have a lot more latitude in the things you can do. A full alphabet of commands! Like e(X)ecuting folks, (M)arrying people (and things), and ®eforming religion. The world is full of lots of little puzzles and quests to complete, some of which are pretty unexpected.
It’s like an Ultima game in a bell jar. A little self-contained world with a lot to do inside it.
