Yeah, I feel the same. I totally feel that about the mechanics too, tough to grok at first but you keep plugging and suddenly it all fits.

I’d never call the game “elegant”- it’s like system bolted on top of system on top of system, but they just work together to make planning out and using a character a really fun, thoughtful exercise.

Hey y’all just wanted to chime in and say Intergalactic Fishing is wonderful. Streamed it today and had a blast. Can’t wait to play more.

Dear Mr. @BrianRubin, just because it has “Intergalatic” in the name does not make it a Space game!!! =)

Yuh huh!

I played that demo. It is strangely calming and not at all difficult. But it seems like one of those things that you might play just because it’s relaxing plus the sense of accomplishment from wiping out debris.

Yeah I’ve been playing for a few days and it is great

I have the demo installed but not tested out yet.

@Ginger_Yellow The RPS article makes it sound really good - a weird and calm game.

I love old, almost abandoned train stations that have seen better days. Very melancholic. ; )

I was actually less interested after reading the RPS article. I thought it would be more about the fixing and less about the cleaning.

Count me in as someone who is really enjoying Intergalactic Fishing. I found a few things obtuse at first, but watching this developer vid mostly set me straight.

This will stop selling on Steam soon.

Souls-like / metroidvania style platformer with a twist.

This looks like it might be cool, sort of Diablo with more methodical Souls combat.

Alaloth

Despite the silly name (Alaloth?), that looks very cool. There are not enough Souls-like Diablo clones in this world. (I guess Immortal Planet, which I really liked, sort of qualifies?)

On the wishlist it goes!

Hey, no fair, I was already surviving Titan:

-Tom

Titan Outpost takes place on the moon Titan while Surviving Titan takes place on the, uh, planet Titan. Big…difference?

ooh, what do you think of Titan Outpost? That looks right up my alley!

Whoa! Titan Outpost looks fantastic. I will treat myself and buy it after I get all this work done :(

Okay, so, I don’t think Deathtrap Dungeon is really that great as a gamebook, but…what if Eddie Marsan were GMing it for you?

I’ve only seen the first hour or so of it, so I can’t say for sure. It’s an intriguing approach, but I’m not sure if it’s going to be the game I’m wanting it to be. If that makes sense?
