I kept waiting for the pivot to “look how terrible this is” because I simply assumed it was a social commentary thing, not a real game. That it’s a real game utterly baffles me, who would want to play that?

That would make way more sense. Maybe the alligator eats you and inside him it’s Frog Fractions 4.

Which I can confirm is VERY good…

It would be more efficient if I just setup a bank transfer to you and you can gift me all the games I need to buy @BrianRubin .

Happy to help!

@BrianRubin the one and only Space Game Conceirge!

Pixel graphics ARPG Chronicon has left early access with a huge 1.0 update. It seems counterproductive to release with all this untested stuff, but it’s popular and well supported. Screen shake can be disabled.

Chronicon was GREAT in early access so I can’t wait to try 1.0.

STAHP

NEVA!

It was influenced by games like Fallout 1 + 2, Diablo, Grand Theft Auto, Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, Escape Velocity, Deus Ex & Co.

They said the magic words

Klaatu barada nikto?

Maybe not every single solitary syllable, but basically, yeah.

Uh, nah. Not right now.

Why would I let a friendly fox guide me into a medication habit when there’s the Ambien walrus.

Ran across a video by Splattercat today for a game called Rogue Heroes. There is a demo available if that floats your boat. Seems like it’s going to be a pretty solid roguelite with some city building elements.

How on earth can Chronicon be a $10 game with all it has? The mechanics and systems in the place look crazy thorough, and to be honest the only thing that seems low-rent is the pixel graphics. Has anyone tried this (or should I go to the “I played it” thread and ask… can’t keep the rules straight anymore!)

Can you expand on this?

This seems pretty informative.

I admit I’m turned off by the graphics, but it looks pretty nuts in motion.

@Charlatan price is going up in a few days, apparently

Expand? Sure. The game has:

  • 4 classes, each with their own skill tree. Each tree contains around 50 or so skills.
  • Loot that looks like ARPG loot (Think Diablo or Grim Dawn). Loot has stats, can add abilities, can be class specific
  • Loot items can have gem slots. Gems look similar to those found in Diablo (different levels of gems and I think the gems have different effects depending on what type of socket they are inserted into)
  • Set items that provide powerful bonuses for equipping multiple items from one set
  • some sort of ability to reroll stats and or Gem slots on your gear. I drifted off during the video above but he also said you could lock down some of the stats in only reroll certain ones.
  • Enchanting of gear to add bonuses
  • The ability to transmogrify items (change appearance of your gear)
  • Endgame Customizable dungeons that can be made as hard or easy as you want (think Diablo greater rifts). The difficulty affects the loot drops you get
  • A built-in loot filter that where you can specify the level of items you want to pick up… Like Grimm Dawn has. There is also a “loot all” button that will pick up everything that meets your loot filter in an area around you.

I’m probably forgetting a few things. Regardless, there’s a lot there!
