Pixel graphics metroidvania.
Clever twist on bullet-hell design.
Casual rogue-lite, not a deckbuilder.

Roguelike.
Pixel graphics 2D fighter.
A gorgeous one at that (though some don’t like the cutesy aesthetic). Turn-based, but with some unusual wrinkles

Nice! I’ll most likely buy Crown Trick later today. The demo/beta really wowed me.
Yeah, I tried the Beta, it was quite good. Someone keep us posted on the final product!
It is now official: Teardown is coming to Steam Early Access on October 29th!

Teardown early access Oct 29th! I am hoping this one will be threadworthy when we get our hands on it! Looks fantastic :)
Early Access? Aww… it’s been on my Wishlist since March, I kinda hoped they would just release the finished game. :)
A collection of 10 10-minute games for $10. Including one from the maker of Starseed Pilgrim.

16-bit style GTA-like from the Retro City Rampage developers.
The non-VR version of Eric Chahi’s new game.
Mount&Blade-esque PvP, like Conqueror’s Blade or Tiger Knight.
Beautiful first person puzzler.
This has a demo.
Two metroidvanias.
F2P early access asymmetric horror action, like a top-down Dead By Daylight.
Shakedown Hawaii is a pretty good old skool GTA, but the main character is basically Trump (presented in a satirical way, to be clear), and it takes a lot of the fun out of it.
Manifold Garden is fascinating… not sure yet if it’s fun. But I played it on mobile (Apple Arcade), when it clearly needs a M&KB, so PC version is welcome.
Played Manifold Garden on Apple Arcade. Really cool. I got stuck somewhere eventually. One of those games where ups can spend a couple of hours trying to figure out a a puzzle then have an aha moment.
Okay, I’m going to have you call you out on this one, because you almost kept me from even trying the game based on your comment about the main character being Trump. How on earth is the main character Trump? I like to think I’m super-sensitive to Trump-related satire, but I’m just not seeing it:
He’s a scumbag, because that’s how open-world games like this have to work, but beyond “scumbag” I just don’t see the connection. Am I missing something? Or does something happen later in the game that makes a more explicit connection?

Okay, so I should be more precise. He’s not literally a Trump stand-in, in the sense of having an obvious toupee and orange skin. They’re not doing that kind of reference. But I assumed there’s a reason they picked a dumpy old criminal real estate “magnate” (your high level goal is buying up property around the island) as their protagonist as they developed the game over the last few years.
However–despite the fact that there’s a reality TV component to the game too!–the developer says, no, it’s not a Trump parody. My bad!

Anyway, the gross protagonist made the game unpleasant for me to play, despite all its other good qualities.

Ice Water Games’ open world turn-based tactics game, Tenderfoot Tactics, is out today. I dabbled with the demo a while back and enjoyed my time with it, despite a few UX idiosyncrasies. It’s beautifully presented and coupled with the exploration and general ambiance/atmosphere, I found it quite relaxing. Hoping to pick this up at some point.

Tactical TB/base builder RPG zombie game like Dead State:
Developers say that they are inspired by JA2 and Dead State, and hope to take the best of Dead State and learn from it’s mistakes. Only time will tell.

Post apocalyptic TB RPG with a unique morality system set in the land of Mad Max, Australia:

Assemble your team of mercenaries in this TB RPG set in the 17th century Low Countries, to fight a evil forces ravaging a town. Use swords, muskets, pikes, crossbows, pistols, etc to effect damaging combos by combining different attacks using “humors” and the ancient science of alchemy. (FYI, I watched a bit online and it seemed pretty cool). An usual time period and setting which seems interestingly different.
I’ll say! None of those even have release dates!
I thought this thread was for games that we can actually play. Otherwise, how would we know whether they’re worth knowing about? Or am I once against misunderstanding how these threads work? It wouldn’t be the first time.

From the studios that made NeuroVoider and TormenterXPunisher. Screen shake can be disabled.
I thought it was for games we could play as well, but the sentence that started it all, seven years ago:
I’m hoping this can become a place to post about Indie titles that sound really cool, but maybe have not been released or played yet
Womp womp.
