i think it might scratch that FG itch? and it is a good looking game. yes, you do have cities, and have to worry about buildings and resources, but generally it’s war, war, war, with some nicely different playstyles for the different races and a good AI. it’s on sale atm i think

I tried that line on prom night and just got a slap on the face.

Oh that looks interesting, thanks for the tip!

@Mr_Bismarck For some strange reason that video you linked is showing up as a big blank for me on my iPad using Safari. Maybe it’s an Apple thing.

I got the big blank on win-PC but there’s a video if you start it playing that is black for the first moment so I think it might be just a poor (auto?) choice of thumbnail. Looks like a lowpoly stylistic pilgrim-hats? era survival hunter-shooter? Realism medium - the animation looks pretty good with a bit of bear on wolf action, low to medium tech weaponry people throwing rocks/slingshots/bolt action rifles. The vid’s a minute long groovy showcase with soothing music. I might have missed the mail delivery part.

There’s some mail delivery at 0:26 and then at 0:34 someone says “thanks for the mail!”

I just linked the video that’s on the Steam store page. I think it’s a webm - not sure if that’s what causes the problem with Fruit Based devices.

Brave Pinball! From the rather charming Steam description:

That’s all there is to it!

Well, apparently, that’s NOT all there is to it, because the description isn’t done:

I guess I shall have to see for myself. :)

There’s a special place in proofreading hell for people that can’t even spell their character names consistently in the introduction.

That might be the floatiest looking pinball game I’ve ever seen. That’s saying something.

Well his name is ボルアカ, so Boruaka is I guess the most consistent.

This might be worth a look:

Out today, for (I presume) anyone who loved Strike Commander, or those dogfighting games in arcades:

I played the first campaign mission of Project Wingman and it’s so fun. Definitely has that Strike Commander vibe.

Oh it’s that Ace Combat copycat thingy.

Does it hold up compared to Ace Combat 7?

Look, this looks good, but it actually has a sequel that looks positively amazing:

I know what I’m playing next

Thanks everyone for the recommendations.

This game came on to my list. It looks like an updated version of the NES Ice Hockey and Blade of Steel.

I might get it for my son and I to play.

If you’re into old NES hockey and haven’t played Super Blood Hockey, you need to:

And apparently they added a franchise mode while I wasn’t watching!

I got the Super blood Hockey a few weeks ago for super cheap. It is pretty fun and old school. the Franchise mode is…something. I hope you enjoy showering with other men. :)
