When my wheel is plugged in, it triggers ‘up’ auto scroll . Here is how it looks like:

I have this happen sometimes with my new fancy mouse. To fix it I briefly unplug and re-plug it in the USB port. That makes it go away.
My wireless G603 Logitech mouse was skipping/reverse jumping when I used the scroll wheel and it turned out the firmware needed to be updated in order to fix something with the lightspeed software. Not sure what caused that error to occur, but its working again now.
