If they aren’t purchasable for real money, I don’t think anyone cares.
Even if they are, and are completely cosmetic, I don’t care. It’s not like the Xbox dashboard has gameplay that can be compromised to accommodate for loot crates.
Well, they certainly weren’t shy about selling cosmetic Avatar items.
Good point - the time to start clutching our pearls over avatar cash grabs was probably ten years ago.
Man, that happened back when MS started selling Gamerpic images - literally tiny jpg files - on the 360 marketplace.
Yeah, didn’t care about it then and don’t care about it now. I would never buy it because it has zero value to me, but it isn’t predatory in any way.
Did MS sell gamerpics? I remember being flooded in the damn things, some games would give them to you when you unlocked an achievement.
