No sense in using my paste just yet, I’ll hold on to it.

Smells good, though.

tecwrtr is on a rampage!

The web collapsed in a shower of sparks as the spider died. As the Pygmy pushed aside the soggy heap with the butt of his spear, he uncovered…

Hmm…looks like Dave is back down to zero games. tecwrtr challenges Dave in Tomb 5

Since I just launched the match, I assume I need to wait until next time to use a potion?

Also, if I lose this match, am I dead, wounded or waiting for some kind fellow adventurer to heal me?

The fifth tomb reeks of decay. The princess holds aloft her torch with one hand and pinches her nose with the other. She crosses the tomb’s floor without incident, but finds the far exit blocked by a heavy door that will not yield to her shoulder. Backing up, she inspects the surface, discovering a series of faintly colored cubes inset into tracks. She pushes one tentatively, and it recedes with a click. After a moment it slides back to its original position.

Focused on the puzzling task, she fails to notice a stirring in the piles of offal that wetly cover the floor behind her…

booming voice KILLING SPREE

Killing DAVE spree, in particular! Damn. Oh wait, she nicked Annie at some point, too. Damn.

We are crumby dangers :P

Prolix had made it about ten or fifteen feet into the tomb. It smelled bad. He wanted his armchair and a cup of Earl Grey back at Marlinspike Hall. Why go any further, he wondered. All he needed to do was wait for the Princess to arrive and face the dangers instead. Yes, that sounded good. Prolix sat down, pulled a scone out of his backpack, and relaxed against the tomb wall. Yes, the Princess would solve everything. Scones are delicious.

I want Like buttons. Why don’t we have Like buttons?

As prolix leaned back, his arm bumped a stone sculpture. To his surprise, it’s upheld arms lowered mechanically and he began to feel a rumble beneath his feet. A small opening appeared in the wall beside him revealing a claustrophobic stairway. It’s darkness reached forward into the room and even with his torch held out, he could only see 2 steps ahead… Somewhere down the stairway he could hear the child’s voice again, again calling for his help. Did… did that voice just call him by name?

From the sludge, a figure resembling a man formed, the limbs separating from the torso with sucking sounds. Before the princess could react, it staggered forward two steps and clawed her back!

With a scream of pain mixed with surprise, the princess retreated, waving her torch at the dark.

Dude! You ended the killing spree?!

I was super nervous that I was going to drop a fourth straight!

Updated just below.

clyve > Nightgaunt

Reginald arrived, bandages at the ready, to find Nightgaunt sprawled across the tombs dusty floor and the web shimmering sarcastically. Nightgaunt’s eyes were rolling around in their sockets and he kept muttering incoherently… Things like ‘honor’ and ‘sacrifices’. Reginald dressed any wounds he could see, and waited by his friends side until he regained consciousness.

“Why, I know what’s gone wrong! I’ve forgotten my lucky elephant penis walking stick back in Caracas! Reginald, you’ll have to charter a plane and recover it for me. Don’t worry, I’ll just wait here and try to decipher these fascinating new carvings I just discovered under these iridescent and surely innocuous spider webs!”

Nightgaunt challenges Dave Perkins in Tomb 3

(I might die in this first dang tomb! You guys keep edging ahead at the very end of the game.)

Shit just got real

Nightgaunt retrieves…

An elephant penis walking stick (Fragile, Lucky 15) Brandish after a loss to express displeasure and search the tomb for a hidden item.

After seeing the terrible spectacle, the Princess flew back to the tomb entrance. She took a minute to gather herself and finally managed to stop gibbering. Convincing herself that what she had seen couldn’t possibly be real, she ventured back into the tomb.
