A flask marked with an X (Potion) Force the danger to use exactly 4 colors.

I’ll venture into Tomb 3 against Dave using my flask marked with an X. Do I get to choose the four colors, or are you forced to use any four (but exactly four)?

The latter!

Nightgaunt, would you like to try some of my delicious paste?

You’re in the middle of a fight. No time to gift or exchange items until you are finished, good sir.

Or perhaps you were simply asking him if he wanted to ‘taste your paste’, in which case, I have no truck with it.

“Very generous of you, prolix, young squire. It’s a rather unorthodox form of medical care… I honestly prefer a more civilized health aid, like Dr. Zevo’s Manliness Tonic! But when you’re out of that tomb, perhaps it would be advisable.”

(Thanks, prolix. I wonder if it would be more effective to after I die use someone else’s honey… pot… Hey, this is kinda getting dirty, isn’t it? And, no worries on the walkingstick, Dave. I can’t remember what my points were exactly. Now I’ll actually remember the rules…)

Prolix steps forward and inadvertently knocks a screw from a pile Tink! tink! it tumbles down…The startled creature looks up… The spring slides out from under him, bounces off the wall, and pops him in the eye! The creature flies back, conks his head and appears unconscious.
Prolix smiles.

Ah, it was a glorious tomb, but the riches within now belonged to the Sceptered Isle. Prolix had made it through the traps unscathed. His valet was not so lucky, but even he would be forced to concede that it was a small sacrifice in order to extend the reaches of the Empire. Plus, more scones for Prolix.

Meanwhile, tecwrtr cautiously enters tomb 5
What’s this? Walls of wood? A warm, luxurious glow emanates from the smooth wooden walls dotted with scattered swirly knots…Do the knots follow a pattern…? Hmmm…Fibonacci sequence? tecwrtr squints and takes a closer look…

I heart the stories but wtf is actually happening.

“Here’s to scones!”

Glancing back at his fallen valet, prolix recalls that he was carrying something important. He reaches into the valet’s pockets and pulls out some letters home, a picture of a sweetheart, and

A swirling liquid (Potion) If it helps you, then reverse the digits in your score when the game ends.

He pockets the small bottle and drops the letters and picture on the tomb floor.

============

Just a reminder that if you die, your items die with you, and won’t be returned to you even if another adventurer ressurects you.

I will assume that Nightgaunt has refused my gallant offer of delicious paste, and will proceed to challenge Clyve in Tomb Five. Tecwrtr, if I run into you down there you may have a scone, but only lemon, because the black currants are mine. And no jam so don’t even bother to ask.

Harrumph! I love jam.

I’m not sure that it makes sense that your items would die when you die. Let me take that back. However, dangers might sneak out the darkness to reclaim them…

Who should I challenge next?

Looks like clyve isn’t in any games from the current status.
