Kudos to Dave for setting up this zany event. It was balanced just right. Man, that was fun.

Good times indeed! Thanks all dangers, and especially Dave!
p.s. Is that nkoan or Nightgaunt with the lizard-man foot in his face?
p.p.s. Shame about tecwrtr’s leg.

nKoan’s face… tecwrtr 'a leg is fine actually, she drowned. That is from Nightgaunt, who looks like he was trying to crawl away just below the dragons body. He’s really faint still, didn’t get to darken him up yet.

If it’s any consolation, you were likely dead prior to the squishing…

Prolix dispatches the final beast and steps over its twitching corpse to find a small stone altar on which sits an amulet. He picks it up and studies it. After a moment, the amulet glows dimly – or, at least, so it appears to his eyes, which have not seen sunlight for days.
He hears moans behind him, and turns, finding the other adventurers appear to be stirring. Could it be the amulet’s power? He spies the rope that leaves the tomb, and has to make a quick decision.
Does prolix escape the tomb, taking the amulet with him (and the rope)?
Or does he try to use the amulet to rouse the others, and hope that they will be grateful enough to him that they let him keep his prize?
Or is there another option beyond these?

Depends. Are my fellow adventurers saying “Scones…scones…” or are they saying “Brains…brains…”?

Well, if I learned anything from my service in the Punjab, it is that a British officer leaves no man behind. Stiff upper lip and all that.
Prolix stays in the tomb while the others stir. The more animated they get, the warmer the amulet feels in his hand. It is almost too hot to hold when the last of them rise to their feet and walk toward him…
What do the other adventurers do?

Who knew?
I’m getting popcorn, brb.
“I say! I think these tombs are trying to turn us against each other! What do they expect from a Royal Society man? Betray his companions? BAH! I’ll climb the rope and you toss that amulet up to me. Gotta keep your hands free for safe climbing! Says so in the Royal Society handbook!”

Quick! Check for secrets!
The mist swirling through Tomb 2 suddenly rushes back into the crack it issued from. There is a hush, as if something wicked is about to manifest…
