I gotta say, cloning is really beginning to seem like the missing piece of the puzzle. It explains why they are doing research of babies. It explains why so many of the psych experiments seem to be centered around eternal life. It explains how they could fill a plane full of bodies that “died” to prevent anybody from looking for the island. It explains how people that are apparently dead - like Nick Fury last night - keep popping back up. Heck, it may even explain stuff like Ben’s tumour - like what if Ben is on his second or third body, and those bodies are more susceptible to cancer?

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I’m going with clones.

Let’s not forget Jack’s dad. Also the Real Sawyer (Locke’s dad) is probably a clone too.

Too many WTFs this episode… first the crazy russian guy is back, and now the plane crash was fake? Well I think we know for sure that the Losties aren’t all dead, since the Others have gone back and forth between the rest of the world using the submarine.

The subtitles in Lost are fantastic. They use an excellent font, and the subtle shadowing makes them very easy to read. Kudos to whoever is responsible for the Lost subtitles!

The “there were no survivors” angle doesn’t seem like it would be that hard to explain away. Maybe the plane just vanished and that was the story leaked to the media. Maybe Oceanic’s in on it and helped fake a crash of an alternate plane.

I really like the clone angle, tho. In fact, I’d be happy if it turned out that none of these people are “real,” but are in fact (emotionally stunted) clones, part of some grand experiment. It would help explain Locke’s recovery, and even make me feel better about some of their routinely idiotic behavior.

Wasn’t there an interview that said we were going to learn more about those two skeletons that were once found in the cave? They could certainly figure into a clone angle in some way.

After Mikhail and Desmond treat Naomi’s wound, she says something in Portuguese not spelled out in the captions. It is not “Thank you” as Mikhail claims. Instead, it sounds like “Eu não estou só” which is Portuguese (spoken with a Brazilian accent) for “I am not alone.”

If Ben were really as smart and able to scheme in advance as well as he does, as retcon’d through the writers, he’d be the secret emperor of the world. He’s not only smart enough to have prepared, and presumably tested, a ‘sick bomb’ inside of Clair, knowing that he’d eventually get Juliet living amongst the Losties, but also to accurately predict that Mikhail will be taken prisoner and have an opportunity to fake his own death by jumping through the fake electric fence, that only hums and sparks, so that the foaming capsule he has secreted in his mouth, and blood squibs in his ears will make it convincing.

Or the fence isn’t fatal and the island is magic/cell regeneration center (helpful for cloning experiments, I imagine)
Or Mikhail self-resurrects.
Or Mikhail is Rasputin, still alive and kicking (my personal favorite theory).
Or…frakkin’ writers.

Even if he didn’t predict Mikhail, Ben is the best strategic planner and manipulator in the world. So, Mikhail is Rasputin, Ben is Napoleon, Juliet is Florence Nightingale, Desmond is Neville Chamberlain…

And I think Hugo is actually getting fatter, particularly in the face. Must be that extra cell regeneration.

actually i thought they explained that hurley lied when the bunker only had 180 meals left and sawyer caught him in the jungle eating supplies of food that hurley hid instead of letting everyone eat at the big party. (what a dick)

From the previews, I would speculate that it is no Ben under the hoodie but Locke’s dad.

And he brought Sawyer to kill him because cause Locke can’t do it himself.

And Locke’s dad will be the real Sawyer.

PS. They had to get Walt off the show soon unless they wanted to start explaining his premature puberty after only 3 months on the island. The island hates black people anyway (Eko, Michael, Walt, Blackrussianwoman)
