Mikheil was never dead. No one checked his pulse, or even his breathing, they just left him there as he fell. Mikheil knew he wasn’t going to die, he even said “Thank you” to Locke when he was pushed into the fence. It just gave him his chance to fake death and get away. Foaming at the mouth is easy to fake, any kind of detergent capsule in the mouth would do it. Bleeding of the ears could be caused by sonic waves (the fence) rupturing the eardrums. Certainly not a fatal injury. They were careful to make it clear to us that is was a sonic fence, not electric. Though sonic waves can cause pain, I’ve never heard of it killing anyone. It was pretty easy to predict.

I think that’s exactly what will happen, because it finally ties Locke and Sawyer together through the same person, which is a theme on this show. It’s pretty obvious that Locke’s Dad is the con man that ruined Sawyer’s life when he was a kid, so you’ll have two guys there with ample reason to hate him, and one who has no qualms about killing him…or does he? Sawyer’s turned over a new leaf, will it cause him to balk at killing the con man who ruined his life, or will that be just the catalyst to bring old Sawyer back even stronger?

I bet you it is because if he did kill his father he would become a cripple again. We already know that the Island only heals certain people. I bet you the Island only heals those that have not committed serious crimes – like murder. If Locke killed his father the Island would no longer maintain his non-crippled status and he would be wheelchair bound again. Ben wanted Locke to kill his father to test this theory.

Sawyer doesn’t heal because, as the Others have already told him, he isn’t Island worthy.

Also, in case you are wondering, the Producers have already stated that they are not in purgatory.

All in all I thought it was a pretty good episode.

His false ID as Sawyer is good enough he can FLY between several countries using it post 9-11.
