After watching tonight’s episode and reading the spoilers I actually found the episode to be more enjoyable.

Tonight’s episode was another winner! Great show!

Now,if you cut (or blow up) the power cable,doesn’t the blinking light go out???

I will be really annoyed if Jack’s plan does not work,I’m getting sick of the writers always favoring the Others. It’s a cheap way to drag out the suspense…Now,of course,that would only be 10 Others gone,so there is still the conflict. But the good guys need a small victory to keep my interest.

Excellent episode. I actually cared more about the characters than the plot in a plot heavy show.

The flashbacks mattered and didn’t feel (too) forced.

Feels like it’s all the way back.

What do you mean by this? (I am sleep deprived and had a lot of interruptions while watching the show – but who suggested the power cable be cut/blown up?)

Cutting the cable to the underwater bunker would seem like a solution, but you don’t know if they have a source for emergency power and how long that would last. Plus it might call attention from the Others. Actually swimming down there and flipping the switch insures the jamming stops, and might not trigger any sort of alarm back at Others HQ. So I can see the logic.

Still, yet another mystery as to why Ben would tell everyone that station was abandoned after an accident, when there are obviously people manning it. I didn’t recognize either of the women that came out after Charlie, so maybe they are Dharma survivors or Renegade Others? That would be interesting.

Jack’s plan frankly sucks. Let’s destroy half our camp to take out some Others. It’s so obviously revenge based, and not really in the best interest of the camp. Plus, how are they down to three guns all the sudden? Sawyer had a big stash back when.

A lot of Sawyers stash got taken when the Others drew that line in the middle of the island.

If the power cable can be cut without risking anyone’s life,that is a better way.It’s my idea,based on the quick view of Sayid’s wiring diagram we were shown.

I don’t think there is any reason to think that Richard is somehow ‘immortal’ or not aged due to Island magic. I think it has everything to do with Nestor Carbonell being one of those guys who ages well. He is 39 now. Without makeup, he can probably play 30 to late 40s. How far back was the first Ben and Richard meeting? 20 years?

I think it’s a touch of make up in both directions. Longer hair, shadowing a lot of his face, and some dirt/makeup to make him seemed tan and youthful. Then a haircut tight on the sides with a hint of grey at the temples to make him seem older. I can easily believe that young Richard was 22-25 and current Richard is 45-48.

We don’t know which Others were original hostiles, so we have no other points of comparison.

I don’t know if I agree with you on this. In last weeks episode he comes into Ben’s tent and asks what Ben is looking at. Ben tells him it is a birthday present, and today is his birthday. He then goes on to say
“You do remember those, don’t you?”

That sounds like something you would say to someone who, if not immortal, has a much, much longer lifespan then the average human being.

My sister swears that the woman in the back was the one Sawyer conned in “The Long Con” and then helped Kate escape something in one of her flashbacks.

She also said the woman Charlie saved in the alley was Sayid’s woman.

I can’t call her crazy, however, because I’m pretty sure Naomi was front and center watching Charlie play guitar in the rain.

The woman Sawyer conned was Kim Dickens (from Deadwood). That wasn’t her in the underwater station.

I thought the two blonds with guns in the Looking Glass Station looked identical to the two blondes Charlie bedded in the flashback with his brother.
