Wow, that was great.
Very satisfying to see the Others finally get theirs. Sawyer and Sayid as badasses and Hurley as the hero.:) Plus Ben gets the crap kicked out of him!
Charlie’s part was very well done,with some mystery left. How did we get the ending if it wasn’t Penny’s boat? I expected a helicopter gunship coming over the mountain shooting at everyone, with the twist being Ben was telling the truth.
Thought the fake backstory as a frontstory(??) was brilliant but don’t know how they will get out of it to continue things. It was so off the wall and unexpected I did not even recognize cleaned up Kate until Jack used her name. But how could Jack tell the Chief of Staff to go get his Dad?? He’s dead.
Loved the Walt bit.
Only problem I had with the episode was the Charlie resolution depended on the stupidity of not checking if Mychal was dead to work. Desmond’s ex-SAS, a SAS guy DOES NOT make an amateur mistake like that…
Well, Locke is no longer one of the non-killers on the island, and his brutal knifing of the parachute check accomplished nothing.

Either Sawyer or Ben. You could tell from the inflection in Jack’s “Neither” when asked if he was friend or family.

If you pause the screen on exactly the right frame on a kick-ass HDTV (like I have!) you can make out the words “Body found” and “James” on the piece of newspaper Jack was reading.
