Even though I’m the one that brought this up - it just doesn’t make total sense in context of him not being a friend. What in the world does he do in the next X seasons to alienate people enough so that NO ONE comes?
They mentioned space-time continuum, but in a different context. They were referring to the fact that the survivors are truly that - survivors. Not in hell/limbo/purgatory/an alternate dimension.

Whoever it was who died, looks like his first name begins with “Jo” is from New York:
here is a pic of the newspaper:
Los Angeles
Man found dead in
downtown loft
"The body of Jo…[unreadable]…ntham of
New York was discovered shortly after 4
a.m. in the…[unreadable]…of Grand
Avenue. Ted…[unreadable]…man at The
Tower…[unreadable]…heard loud
noises…[unreadable]…antham’s loft.
[unreadable]… [sa]fety, he
[unreadable]…discovered the
[unreadable]…a beam in the
[unreadable]…[ac]cordin[g]…[unreadable]…"
Could this be Joseph??
If you ask me – its the coffin of a yet to be introduced character.
James/Sawyer is from Alabama.

Yeah. Totally.
Charlie could have tried taking a deep breath as the room was filling up and then squeezed out of the port hole. Or when he was running to close the door he could have ran out of the room and (with Des’ help) the two of them could have closed the door shut. Or he could have ran out of the room and he and Des could have swam upward from the submarine entrance.
Remember when Charlie asked Desmond if he had any other flashes and Des answers “no”? Charlie knew his time had come. After spending days/weeks knowing that his death was coming he was beyond ready for death. He probably welcomed it.

I love the depiction of Ben’s descent throughout the series.
He started off in the first two seasons as a confident and arrogant leader. So cocky that he faked his way into the Lostie’s camp as Henry Gale. He continued to manipulate and play “smoke and mirror” games with Jack and the others during the first two seasons.
By the beginning of the third season we see cracks in his grasp over the Others. Then Locke arrives to Ben’s camp and Ben begins to worry about his authority. The submarine explodes. Locke parades Cooper’s corpse in front of the Others. Locke defies Ben in the Other’s camp by forcing Ben to take him to Jacob. Jacob talks to Locke and not Ben. Ben tries to kill Locke and is denied. The Other’s beachhead assault ends up with 10 dead Others.
By the end of the third season Ben is near mutiny amongst his people. To add insult to injury Ben’s daughter abandons him. He is beaten up by Jack, bitchslapped by a crazy French lady and tied to a tree.

Another thing I remember from watching “Lost Answers” was that the producers stated that the Island replays your memories. They were talking about this in reference to all of the Dead people that seem to show up on the Island.
I believe (dont’ quote me on this) that they were talking about the Black Smoke monster just before this.
So the dead people we see aren’t clones and aren’t really there. They are only memories of the individual seeing them.
If that is the case – then why is Walt 2 years older (and 2 feet taller!)? The guy has a fricking mustache for chrissakes! I am sure that isn’t how Locke remembered him.
Fucking his own wife over, though? Maybe… But he’s still dead to me.
If it is not James as previously posted by someone, JOhn Locke makes sense…
It’s not John Lock, because it definitely ends in “ntham”, as I said, and as someone else later re-says.
Do you guys seriously think all Asians look that much alike that you thought that was Jin and Sun?
Just saw the season finale, really really liked it. I have to agree with people here who said Charlie didn’t technically have to go down with the ship, but chose to to insure that Desmond’s vision of Claire escaping came true. At the time, I kept thinking to myself that it wasn’t making any sense… plenty of time to get through the door and close it from the other side, but then he’d lose the sure thing for Claire.
Sad to see him go, didn’t see the flash forward twist coming at all, but then again, I also don’t know a ton about cell phones.
Looking forward to next season, whenever it actually starts.
Watching the Others approach the tents I thought of the Smiths song and wondered if they’d actually give me what I wanted this time. Beginning with that scene they really worked at giving the losties moments of victory. This was just about the first time that one of their plans worked out. Course while it was fun to watch they did give quite enough to suggest that things won’t go terribly well in the near and distant future. Then even the victories were had some disturbing moments. At the very least brutal.
Jack appears to be warping with events on the Island.
Good entertainment though. Interested to see what they do with the Flash Forwards next season.
The sad thing is, after such a great finale, they will lose momentum and goodwill with the idiotic decision to start the season after New Year’s…
That’s the best decision they’ve made since the show began. What’s idiotic is taking three months off midseason.

I don’t think anyone thought it was after seeing the images, but I can understand how people might think it was Jin before then. It does kind of look like him here, and there are only a few frames where you can see more of his face. The woman is clear enough for long enough where that shouldn’t happen if you’re paying attention.
It’s not like Lost doesn’t stick people all over the place in flashbacks.
24 has been doing fine with that format for three years now.
And most cable series (HBO, Showtime, FX, USA) have similar gaps and seem to do just fine.
BTW, WTF kind of magic does the island have that it cures Locke of a bullet wound to the gut? The same one that cured him of his paralysis?
The one where it passes through the kidney he doesn’t have anymore.
Um, yes. And cures Mikhail of a spear to the chest and a brain-scramble from the sonics. And Sawyer of a gunshot to the shoulder in a few days. Have you been watching the show?

I’d say the suspension regarding people dying or not dying isn’t being completely dropped. First of all, until you’ve seen a person in a flash forward, you can’t be sure. Second, seeing how there’s a coffin with a person we know or will get to know in the seasons to come, chances are that people may also die in the present time line/flash forwards.
Charlie’s death was nice - he definitely could have saved his ass had he wanted to, but the moment he saw Mikhail he realized that this must be what Desmond had foreseen and didn’t want to mess with the events to come.

I don’t watch 24 nor “cable series”. I look forward to the new TV season in September not January.YMMV.
Saw on another board than someone thinks it is “Jeremy Bentham”,like John Locke,an English philosopher, which would make a good covername for John if he took a pseudonym.
