you’re right, he did say it both ways. I remembered the details about himtalking about getting to the island. Of all the plot and story holes that lie open and unresolved, and entirely unresolvable, why they’re lying about the plane crash and how they really got off the island is farrrr from the most open-ended.

Awesome. Dez is Billy Pilgrim!

That was one episode that was chock full o’ wicked. I loved how one scene managed to connect Black Rock, Penny’s Dad and the Hanzo Corporation in one fell swoop.

I love this show.

That was amazing. Incredible.

Desmond has to stop himself from dying by helping himself in two different time periods. Fuck… that was awesome.

It’s not nice to fool Father Time.

That was a great damn episode. And really touching at the end.

yes it was awesome…going back to the “who’s part of the six” thang…you know Michaels dead cause if there be free money to be had from a plane crash you know a black man would get in on that shit- Oh no he di-in-

Charming.

No kidding, that’s the same thing I thought when I heard them use the expression “unstuck in time”. Cool.

Second.

This season, Lost found itself.

Wait, if Faraday does not remember meeting Desmond in the past, implying that timeline was changed, how does Penny remember Desmond telling her he would call her in 8 years??

I’m going to be a voice of dissent and say that I didn’t particularly like this episode. It feels like they’re trying to hard to be the show for geeks and stretching into another type of weirdness. It’s like the X-Files but all the cases of weird phenomena are in one place. I didn’t like how “finding an anchor” was the mystical solution to the unstuck-in-time problem.

I’m not saying I’m going to stop watching – it’s still a good show. But this episode didn’t wow me at all and even had me rolling my eyes at a couple places.

It’s early but it wouldn’t surprise me if this episode wins the Hugo. Fantastic.

Yeah. That was fantastic. Romance and time travel, and everything.

What’s amazing is that this is the kind of one hour story within a story that the seemed unable to do a year ago. They’ve obviously got a few things figured out at this point.

Hey, what was Desmond’s last line? It sounded like “I’m Patrick.”

I thought I heard “im patrick” also…my gf said it was “i’m perfect”…

The other soldier on the back of the truck with him was named “Billy”, btw.

A great episode though I was kinda waiting for Q to show up at any moment.

well obviously They get ahold of that log from the “Black Rock” which tells of the islands weirdness and that sets up the whole thing.

Des thinks he’s “gone” for 5min. when actually he was “out” for 75min!

Because she’s Desmond’s Constant.

Also, last week we saw that Faraday has memory problems.

I’m reminded a lot of Greg Egan’s Quarantine, a book that tries to create a plausible practical use of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. It first hit me when Daniel started talking about perception, rather than time travel. You don’t physically travel through time, but your perception of how time progresses, and your placement in time as an observer, have been changed.
