I assumed he was what opened the door for them to let them out of the sickbay.

I thought the door opener was Ben’s man on the boat who we maybe think is Michael.

I just assumed it was the pilot who seemed genuinely sympathetic to them, but I like your idea now.

LOL, I thought that too. Geez I hope not!

My brain is clearly damaged. That might explain how I’ve killed three computers this week.

I rule.

Nice going. So why does it only happen to women who conceive their babies on the island?

Super sperm.

At this stage it would be a great twist if Micheal was not Ben’s guy on the boat…

Well it only makes sense for it to be him, as we’ve discussed before. But I think the length of time its taken to reveal this is starting to hurt the story angle since its becoming increasingly obvious that he is the only guy they could re-introduce now.

As for the episode, I love Juliet, so any focus on her is great. This was a solid episode, not transcendental like last week’s but still. It more firmly set up the battle lines with the Widmore crew coming into to fight with Ben and the Oceanic people in the middle. Oh, and I loved Locke throwning that dollar bill in Ben’s face.

“Here’s a little bit to get your started…”

Also, Ben has said that Jacob can cure cancer. Does the island have healing powers or is it Jacob that has the power and can select when to use it?

The island didn’t get rid of Ben’s tumor. There have been times when Locke’s legs have quit working on him, suggesting the island’s power is selective.

Maybe Jacob has a reason for not wanting people to conceive on the island. He may be an environmentalist.

I can’t decide if I like Juliet or if I just like looking at Elizabeth Mitchell. I suspect it’s the latter.

Eurgh, Ben’s naked attempt to dominate Juliette really took away from his wicked cool ice-man vibe. The whole scene just seemed like a vulgar attempt to get the audience to loathe him

Sure, he was pretty bad by the end of Season 3, but even then his actions could have been explained by whatever “greater good” the Others are up to. The bit with Juliette was just plain nastiness. Kind of a dissapointing turn for his character.

meh, bit of a filler episode but again still better than most of season 3. I think the writer’s strike will actually be a good thing for this season if it means the next half-season cuts even more of the filler out.

Speaking of filler episodes, I just realized Heroes has almost completely fallen off my list of things to care at all about. The writer’s strike didn’t work out so well for that show… bunch of shitty episodes followed by a huge time gap…

Ben has shown to be totally ruthless and conniving; I don’t see why being controlling (especially regarding Juliette) is seemingly out of character.

“Red Sox?”
“I taped over the game.”

Best line.

Yeah, I thought Ben losing it was fine.

I was much more disappointed in Locke, who I used to think was kind of cool but now I just think he’s a fucking tool.

I think Locke is just going through another of his phases, and something will happen to bust out his awesomeness again (he’s my favorite character besides Daniel and Desmond).
I know the secret man on the boat is probably Michael, but the way Ben prepped Locke made me and my wife think that he was setting up to tell him it was Locke’s dad.

It would be awesome if Ben’s guy on the boat was Randy, Locke’s boss at the box factory. But it’s going to be Michael.

Good episode last night. Goodwin was a super stud. I’d totally be the meat in a Juliet-Harper sandwich any day. I like how they reworked all the old scenes to include Harper and other bits to make the story align properly. The big thing about her appearing in the jungle then zapping out again (accompanied by the whispers) is that now we can maybe relate that back to the whole “out of phase” time thing. If Ben manages to escape Lockes grasp and regains control over some of his people, he could easily send Harper “back to the past” to instruct Juliet on what to do. Folds within folds…

I’ve been thinking it’s Michael on the boat all along, and they sure seem to be building up to that now. How crazy would it be though if it turned out to be Charlie instead!

FYI there will be 8 episodes for this portion of the “season” that will be aired continuously. There was talk of the 8th episode sucking and/or being delayed because of the strike and retooled after the strike was over, but apparently not (it’ll air on the 20th).

Not to be too spoilerish I guess, but the 8th episode will have Michael in it.
