If you watch some of the bonus features on the Lost DVDs, they had a guy on the crew who’s entire job was to track the guns on the island. Just the guns. If you remember, guns were a big deal when they were first introduced (although now it seems like after the failed merc attack guns are cheap and plentiful on Island).

Me too. The last two episodes were very season one based.

Locke being told OVER and OVER again that we can’t tell him what he can’t do and Jack wanting to “fix” things got tired pretty quick TBH.

Beat me to it…He (Ben) was an awesome psychopath.

The window thing was cool, they stole it from the original Star trek except they were places in time they could go on a dying planet.

You’re going to be disappointed. We will never get all the answers. That’s the kind of show Lost is. They’re never going to show you what’s behind the curtain because that’s what makes the show interesting

Not getting answers certainly isn’t what makes the show interesting…

I believe they have every intention of answering all the big questions they raised about the island in this last season. Whether the answers are satisfying or “omg wat?” inducing remains to be seen.

Judge Floro`s magical dwarves did it.

Think the whole thing would’ve been better off if they’d just stuck with ‘weird island’ instead of trying to wedge in some grand unifying plot after the fact.

I’m still waiting for Ricardo Montalbán and Hervé Villechaize to make a cameo.

JJ Abram’s “mystery box”

Watch this, and then tell me that we’re going to get answers for “all the big questions”. The island is the mystery box, and it is NEVER going to be opened.

We’ll get some answers, but we will have more questions than when we started. Most answers we get will be about the characters, not the island.

Not getting answers certainly isn’t what makes the show interesting…

Well I can’t speak to what you find interesting about the show - but I think the fact that this is a show that allows people to come up with their own theories week after week IS a big part of what makes Lost interesting to so many people. If we were given all the answers as we went along, I know I would probably not be as into it.

Abrams hasn’t been involved with Lost in any real capacity since like Episode 4 of Season 1.

Even when he’s forced into SAW(1)-style. Though I think for that, he was hired just for his eye in the closet scene.

Yeah, this.

I knew he wasn’t still directly involved, but my guess is that they’ll stay true to the spirit of the show. Who knows? I hope they don’t answer questions because no answers will live up to my expectations. Like blowing up a bomb to get them back to the right time, any answer they give is gonna be dumb.

Who knows, maybe they’ll finally focus on the characters, and not make the show just a lot of blank slates chatting about mystical hoo-hah.

I find the mystical hoo-hah the most interesting thing about the show.

I like it too, but devoid of character it would be a lot of smoke and morons.

I’m watching the pop-up video version of last week’s episode, which reminds me of a question I had. How did Jin really know that Kate had taken Aaron when she left the island?

Since he was separated from the “Oceanic Six” when they left (and his boat asploded), he didn’t necessarily know Kate had Aaron. I suppose she could have told him when they reunited in 1977.

‘Since I’ve been here I’ve been drowned, beaten and tortured at your hands - why would I ever do anything for you.’

‘You said that there is still good in your soul … Then prove it … <By killing someone you don’t know simply because I, someone who has already perpetrated unprecipitated malice against you, asked you to do so with absolute conviction.>’

‘<I can’t help but notice you actually didn’t answer my question. In fact that was an embarrassingly blunt deflection without even an attempt to convince me. I should be offended by just how little consideration you have for my judgement or willpower - but, well, it wouldn’t be the first time I guess, and I don’t know what else I’d do with myself, anyways, so here goes! Die, motherfucker! I’m a good man!>’

zeng how did you make it this far?
