They were both FLocke, although she knew it wasn’t John Locke.

I really like that the actor for the Man in Black was following Terry O’Quinn’s cadence and delivery for this episode. Also, damn, Nestor Carbonell was interesting to watch in the past.

Except he’s not jumping into the bodies. We saw Locke’s actual, taxidermied body at the same time as UnLocke was having Ben kill Jacob in the statue.

But the way she said it sounded like it was 2 different people.

To be more clear, it’s my opinion they was both MIB looking like Christian and MIB looking like Locke, although she knew it wasn’t Locke himself.

I thought I noticed this, too. It really does work well.

In this week’s episode it seems that both Jacob and MIB were both just getting started with the manipulating people gig, as they both displayed a lack of subtly and planning they exhibit later. MIB straight up copies Richard’s wife and then gives him the knife; Jacob pummels Richard like he was practicing to audition for the Patrick Swazye part in Roadhouse. Nothing like the plans-within-plans-within-plans both are doing 137 years later.

Does Hurley see dead people or is it simply Jacob?

An eerily accurate Twitter.

I don’t get it.

He talked to Charlie back at the mental institute and also to Ana Lucia when he was escaping from the cops with sayid.

I think we have to assume that the inmate in his mind from way back in the day is also a dead person.

RICHARD: WEEPING HOBO SETTLER OF THE CANARY ISLANDS

Jesus what a boring character. I WAS PROMISED DESMOND, BRING ME MORE DESMOND.

Easy there, brother.

If there is one thing sucking about this season, it is the lack of Desmond.

Yes, but were they really Charlie and Ana Lucia, or Jacob pretending to be them? Signs point to the latter.

Um, I have a crappy memory, but Jacob’s not known to take the form of dead people, is he? I thought that was just a MiB thing.

Did Hurley see dead people before coming to the island? I know Miles had the power since he was a kid.

The borrowing from, or homages to, Kings The Dark Tower series are getting more explicit. Recall the first line of The Gunslinger:

“The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.”

King’s man in black had several names and took several forms. The Lost guys seem pretty happy for theirs to do the same.

Man, I wish these guys were making a DT miniseries or something.

When I come to think about it, Adrian Sheperd can’t be MiB. Since in season three Hurley sees him in the cabin. And the cabin is surrounded by black powder thingy to block him from getting there. No?

No I think the powder circle was broken a long while ago it seems.

I’d dig this solution.

And yet they keep his name in the opening credits of every episode. Damn them for giving us false hope!
