When I first saw the episode, there was no doubt in my mind that it was supposed to be a question mark. But upon looking at the pic, I see the circle as well. Maybe the intent was to suggest both and inspire debate on forums like this. :)

Man, I didn’t see a question mark at all
I just saw a big circle at the top of the screen and the wrecked plane at the bottom… how the heck did you see a question mark ??

It is a damn circle, not a question mark… take a look:

sure it is faded… but it doesn’t mean it is a question mark just because it is faded.
It’s a circle… like a pearl…
Perhaps it was a question mark on the map because whoever drew it didn’t recognize that the symbol really was just a circle and was expecting it to be filled with something?
And now that we’ve learned a bit more, I’m guessing the map on the blast door was drawn like that by somebody who realized that something funny was going on and that he was under surveillance, so he had to do it surreptitiously while the power was down…
Man, I want to see the Others get their’s, but it seems like the writers keep stacking the deck in their favor. :(
For example, the most dangerous of the castaways,Eko, goes off the deep end when they need his help…

Me thinks Sayid is more dangerous than Eko.
I missed a few seconds of the show… can someone help? Sayid tells Jack that he think “Michael is compromised”… what happens after Jack hears Sayid tell him this?
My cable kicked back in when Sayid says something about not telling anyone to “maintain the advantage.”
Can someone fill in the blanks please>?
Eko’s still carrying around his Oz baggage, which puts him over the top in my book. Adebisi was a scary guy.

New Website:
http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/
I can’t get it to load… it is supposed to be a Flash animation of a compass that follows your mouse around.
The title loads only – probably from all the traffic it is getting.
It reads: “Permissum Vestri Complector Rector Vos”
which means:
“Let Your Compass Guide You”
Sayid quickly explains that he doesn’t think Michael’s telling the truth, and basically what we all had assumed and saw to be true, he thinks Michael will do anything to get his son back and he’s being used against them. He says something about knowing Michael isn’t being honest, Jack retorts with something about not just going by Sayid’s hunches (it was worded better than that), to which Sayid points out that he was right about Henry. Jack realizes that, and says they should confront Michael, but Sayid stops him and points out it’s probably better to let Michael think things are going according to plan, it gives them the advantage you saw him refer to. That was about it.
I loved the part when Vincent runs up to Charlie with the statue in his mouth. I said aloud to myself “You’ve got to be kidding”, just before Charlie said the exact same thing.
I like how every time Locke is lost he goes and sits on the beach to stare at the ocean. I wonder where he’s off too…
I’m sure hope that they are going to have Sayid kick ass & save the day but stick Eko & Sayid in a room with a stick and my money would be on Eko.
I like Sayid but honestly, Eko killed two others while he was half-asleep and Sayid can’t seem to torture his way out of a wet paper bag… Hullo, Sawyer’s Stash? Proving Harvey was an Other?
On a related note, who would you like to see die the most?
Jack could be salvaged if they start slipping him some of the Heroin, I can’t help but wonder why the rest of the survivors don’t point out to him that while he may be a brilliant surgeon unfortunatly that doesn’t seem to translate into survival experience - the hot-blooded really really really bad decision making is getting very old.
I’d settle for Hurley and Michael (WaAAaaaaaaAAlllt!!!)

Who would I like to see die next?
Zeke (the fat bearded guy) is really irritating… it would be nice if Sayid karate chopped his ass.
As for an actual Lostie dying? I would have to say Hugo… his death would have to be funny. And seeing Kate have to carve out a burial hole twice the size than normal using their primitive digging tools would be entertainment enough.

Shameful ep this week. We learned pretty much nothing we didn’t already know and the teaser they showed in the commercials happened in the last minute of the show. Bad form. :(
Well, we learned Michael’s motivation, or at least, got some background on it. True, we learned none of the Island’s “secrets,” but, as has been pointed out before, this is a show about characters, not “Gilligan’s X-files.” (I wish I could take credit for that.) If all you want is answers to crazy mysteries then maybe this isn’t the show for you.

If this was a blog, then I’d be HRose, because I already predicted Michael’s motivation two weeks ago here. It was no surprise that Michael was threatened with his son to do what he did. His expressions while he was freeing Henry made it obvious.
If you want to argue that “it’s the characters stupid!” then I’ll agree with you. However even then this episode was a stinker because there was none of that either.
It took half a brain to figure out that Michael was doing this for his son two weeks ago, it’s not like that was a big revelation at all. However, seeing it in action - both what Michael was told and what Walt said - made the whole thing seem much more real to me, and the motivation that much more concrete.
It also gave people plenty to speculate about what the Other’s motives truly are - at this point, anyone’s guess. I felt this episode was a fitting buldup to what will hopefully be a mind-blowing finale.

One little detail I liked: when they were digging the graves the one Kate was digging was pretty evenly rectangular, whereas Hurley’s was pretty much just a hole.
Anyone else think it seemed like a lot more than 13 days since the idiotic standoff where they lost the guns??

I was so pumped when Jack told Zeke he thought they outnumbered them and that Zeke was bluffing, and when Zeke did his trick of turning on the flames, for Jack to say “Yeah, great trick but I don’t believe those are people” and then grab Zeke by the beard (which I assume would have come off.) It seemed like a cop out for them to pull Kate out and once again have Jack et al drop their guns.
Nobody’s mentioned (that I saw) Walt’s comment that “they aren’t who they seem to be” or whatever the exact words were to his Dad. Any guesses as to what that foreshadows?
