Based on the conversations I’ve had about WoW Classic, some people probably liked it being that grindy. Go figure.
Mordor is 50% off in the Market for Black Firday.
The 20$ bundle looks like it also comes with a Skip Rohan level to 105 token (Aria of Valar).
Played some legendary server the other day and I guess I don’t know how different it would be from just starting a new character (only got to level 10). I know they slow down the xp earned, but is it much else than just seeing if players will all start again and repopulate the better content? Then do we all get to experience the disappointment as the not so good stuff gets reintroduced? I guess I don’t quite understand the point yet.
Back to LOTRO now. Warsteed performance as horrible as ever, but still nice to be back.
Had to move the game of ramdrive to expand the size of it, due to more patches (and localization stuff that always get added even after I delete it) – first thing I notice is a massive difference from loading from SSD vs loading from RAM. Almost as bad as Anthem.
Second thing I noticed is that, while I was gone (5 months) they apparently reset my skill. Didn’t notice it immediately, but felt like my keybinds were not working – and a lot of buttons gone – so I got killed by first a elite mob… THEN a normal mob… Muscle memory worked, but they keybindings were gone, and I couldn’t remember what I had there.
End result: Have to relearn how to play my character again.
So, still stuck in Moria. Wanted to see if I could buy an updated armor piece with more +Light on it, turns out they are still incredibly expensive, so I have enough tokens to buy 1/4th of ONE item.
End result: Staying with my ghetto gear, a mix of 105-115 stuff.
So, now back to streaming Mordor while I figure stuff out… at least until my inventory gets full and I have to quit playing for the day. - https://www.twitch.tv/faslkjd56
Using ReShade to make the game prettier.
… Mordor, you mean?
Happened to click on your stream when you were playing, looks nice with reshade, which I don’t have set up at the moment. Played a little LotRO myself this week - just fiddling around in the Shire with a slightly over-leveled alt.
Kind of thinking about picking up where I left off in Mordor, but dealing with the skill reset is keeping me away.
Yea, Mordor ofcourse :)
Did spend a lot of time in Moria back in the days. It became a lot better with Reshade and also using some audio effects on my sound card to amplify the very very low sounds in there, as I always felt Moria was way too quiet.
Just did a platinum run on Pelargin 100+ and got a lot of Orange rewards, no idea what they are for, but they look pretty so hopefully I can spend them on something nice.

The skill reset wasn’t too bad, since it seemed to remember where I had the keybinds setup before they were removed, so as soon as I got the skills back - they were moved to the action buttons I had setup.

Edit: Turns out the Quartermaster rewards “only” contained 15 stars of merit. Guess I can spend them on something when I’m 120.
Sigh – I was an officer in old Runic Knights …. a hundred years ago. But you all may make me reload this game. Just to see how it ends. I frankly hate all the “free” stuff and would just like to earn it. But admittedly it’s been a few years.

I played this for all of 2 hours at launch. It felt janky as hell, the EU server I was playing on was dead and the starting zone was awful. I’ve always regretted not sticking with it.
I can’t play an MMO as a single player game these days. I find it oddly, echoingly lonely to explore a vast world without having the buzz of guild or buddy chat quietly in the background.

6 hours?? Holy schmoly!
I’m also lvl 115 in Mordor as a Burg… blue line (gambler). But I’m through the story content there and am now grinding allegiance rep. Using my level disabler to stay at that level. I give SSG credit…some of the dailies take you to places in Mordor that didn’t really come up during the main quest line.
You look modded up…what’s that hourglass thingy you have going?
I think I have another video at 11 hours :P, it was during last years anniversary event.
The hourglass thing is in options, which shows the next skill queued up.
I think the only mod I use a lot is the /dt tracker (daily task reference), which shows where all the task items are available for handin. THe game gives you sooo many task items, and back in the day (and probably still) a lot of them were not even for tasks, so I never knew what to delete or not.
I’ll check Lotrointerface quickly:

I probably only use the top 3.
LotroCompendium had some useless stuff. I might’ve used “LIP” before I built my dagger, but not sure anymore.
And ofcourse, as earlier mentioned, reshade.
Dammit. Now I am thinking of getting back into it.
How is the legendary servers these days.
No idea because I am free to play with benefits. I have a few toons at high level on Landroval.
I toy around with them from time to time, or flab around wildly when I try to play my Warden, but the traveling skills!
I should have played a Hunter like 89% of other people.
Back in Mordor, managed to hit 117. Turns out I could probably have been 120 already if I just did pelagir with a double Xp buff. Oh well.
Then I had to run back to Minas Tirith, unable to activate the Allegiance part of the game, and I’m pretty sure where I am in mordor I would’ve gotten a LOT of allegiance gains from what I’ve already done.
Anyway, pretty picture:
Oh the temptation… Just to see the endgame of all endgames.

You actually have to finish the main story-line in Mordor before the allegiance stuff opens up.
Not completely true. All Allegiance gains are done through consumables which the Mordor quests drip feed you periodically + the lost lore page deeds for each region of Mordor.
Although it is significantly easier to gain allegiance point consumables once the Mordor quest chain is finished and the repeatable resource instances/daily quests are unlocked.
Suppose they could’ve been a little less vague on the Allegiance page then, just tells me to talk with a npc but never gotten any quests or anything from him. Figured I maybe had to do some of the “old” books to unlock it to a working status.
I’ll just “get it when I get it” then — Back to Moria I go.
Really like those statues:
You unlock a little story quest every 5 levels of Allegiance to a max of 30. Just return to the Allegiance hall using the quick travel skill you get. You are unlikely to max it out during the Mordor questline. I think I got a little over halfway through it then was able to max it out via the dailies that unlock.
Cheers,.
Doing the storyline in Mordor again then, instead of being stuck at side missions. Streaming a little bit on
https://www.twitch.tv/faslkjd56/ while playing.
You guys are killing me. I may run my old guardian back in. I spent so much time in Lotro. But maybe I should finish the game in Mordor.
BTW I was Gwynaheir in Runic Knights. They were such a sweet guild.
