Each character gets a bunch of stuff + gifts like the levelup items to 104 or 120 which can be given to other characters on the same account

Edit: After lots of hassles with the installer, I may be on the path to reinstalling now…
Glad to hear it. Did you finally get it installed?

I did get it installed, and I was able to log in to 4 of my characters and collect goodies for them. I also see I have at least one expansion I don’t remember having. I was impressed with the new Collections screens. And I heard some awesome player-made music at the Prancing Pony – it was jam-packed outside the inn! Also, everyone was role playing, which was sort of amazing.
The downside: I crashed twice in an hour or so of play. Video driver trouble, maybe. I’ll try upgrading my drivers. I am due for a new PC sooner or later, so maybe this is the excuse I need to finally get on with it.
What server are you on? Landroval?

When using the launcher, make sure to switch to the new 64 bit launcher in the options. Its for some reason not standard, and its FAR better and your game will run much better with it.

Oh, I didn’t know about that! I’ll try it.
I know exactly how you feel.

So once I put a cosmetic appearance in my closet, I can delete it from all inventories, right? That would save me 30 inventory spots. But I want to be sure.
Also, how many cosmetics do people typically own? I’ve already had to spend LOTRO points a couple times to expand my closet. I do have 67,000 points still, and more inventory space is usually my highest priority for purchases.
I really had fun. I did a step in an eic quest, roamed around hunting stuff, and then visited Bree to sort out my bank.
Incidentally, I already had the 64-bit launcher enabled, and I updated my drivers, but I still had the crashes, especially on my higher-level characters. I’m using Win 10, GTX 980. But I am hoping I fixed things. I am not sure which of these changes prevented crashes in my just-completed 2-hour session: I set LOTRO to use DirectX9; I disabled high-rez textures; I’m running in Win 7 compatability mode, and I run LOTRO as administrator. I hope I can stop doing the administrator thing, as that seems to interfere with autohotkeys, which I use to emulate left and mouse clicks to reduce hand fatigue.

Yes.
(I, and the game, call it Wardrobe, but whatever).
I’m at 80, but I only use a fraction of those. I’ve put cosmetics there that come with expansion purchases but never used, etc. The only ones I really like are the various backpacks. And the Grey Company items.

Thanks. Oops, yes, I meant Wardrobe.
I’m suddenly hooked again. There’s a lot to like about LOTRO! The lore is great, for starters. Even the maps are interesting.

How long does the anniversary promo last? I’ve been unable to connect because my internet’s been down for a week. :(

Until May 11th, I think? I’m pretty sure you’ve got at least a couple more weeks.

Sorry to hear you had to to downgrade graphics quite a bit - sadly, I can’t really help in regards to crashing if yo are already using the 64-bit launcher. I haven’t crashed in years in the game (Sorry to be that guy!).
Maybe check out reddit or the LOTRO forums?
Yeah, get the premium wallet and journeyman riding trait and literally anything else you want.
As a free to play scum the most points I ever built up was 4,000.

Edit: I guess we all have a Premium Wallet for free now. Or that’s what chat told me, and it does seem to work. This premium wallet automatically moves come tokens from inventory to the wallet for storage. (You have to move stuff from bank to inventory first.) I’m not sure which ones qualify for this treatment.
I have 67,000 points because 15 years ago I signed up for a lifetime subscription. It was a couple hundred bucks, if I recall correctly. At that time the game was a standard subscription fee model, so I figured the lifetime sub would pay for itself in a couple years. And so it did. So I guess I’m a VIP for life? Not sure how it works these days.

You are.
500 points/month and every perk a monthly-paying VIP gets.
Many old-timers, like me, regret not having dropped the $200 back then.

Regret??? It’s like the dumbest thing I ever didn’t do in my whole life.
I got into LOTRO years after the fact, and I regret I didn’t get one of these at the time, to be sure.
