Well, though I do have two lvl 65 characters from my days of paying 10 bucks a month (gawd, I wish I had ponied up for the lifetime sub on launch!), I have been playing a new Hobbit Guardian, Porkbelly Blunderfoot. I’ve got him up to level 34, and now I’m out of free content.

The traditional 30-40 zones are Evendim, Trollshaws and North Downs, all of which are now paid Quest Packs. I basically have to do skirmishes until I get leveled up high enough to pick up the Epic Quests at 35.

About your LI, btw. As long as you have levelled up your javelin to 10, reforged and gotten the quest to go back to Moria - you can. I know it says lvl 51 for Hunter and Warden but I went there at 48 and got my second LI, no problem.

Thanks, I had deduced this from some of the comments above, but then promptly forgot about it again. Your comment reminded me to go back and get it… yay spear!

However after approaching it this way I must say I recommend that people who actually like the central storyline NOT do it this way their first time, despite the gaming advantage it gives. In retrospect I am a little annoyed at having “jumped forward” in the main story while still having story up in Angmar. I would have liked to find my way to Moria as an outcome of my actions in Angmar, not have opened the door first. Sigh… foolish power-gaming on my part!

OK - Not reading every page in this thread. I gave up on MMO’s back in 1998. What world are you all playing on here? Decided I would check out the current market and love the Middle Earth feel.

The QT3 kinship is on Nimrodel.

Got my first experience of a higher level grouping play last night with a Great Stair run in Moria and had a ton of fun. I spent a good portion of the weekend mucking about in Moria, and then taking time to go back and do a bit more of the Vol. I quests. (Good god, Sara Oakheart!) Which I think I’ll do to take a break from Moria from time to time. Did a bunch of crafting grind, and unlocked the final tier for Weaponsmithing, and a bit of faction work in other places.

If anybody on Nimrodel wants to do their class quest at 45+, check out one of the chests in the kin house. I’ve been dumping corroded this, mottled that, and hateful thingamajigs in there. I imagine it’s pretty rank by now considering it’s full of claws, eyes, mandibles, and remains.

The kin house must smell pretty weird.

If he smell starts to get to you, just take a pull out of the keg and it will make everything a bit, different.

Don’t worry. There is a good keg of brew in there to help wash away any foul odors you might smell. What? You haven’t had any yet? You should give it a try!

(sigh, too late with my joke, nice work…)

OK - Rolled up an elven champion and got to level 9 last night. Is there a link / PM for information about joining the kinship etc?

Post your character name here, or do a search in-game for Knights of Quarter to Three on the Fellowing tab of the Social panel, and /tell whoever is online. Most everyone in the kinship has a character that’s an officer (and if you don’t let me know and I’ll fix that) who can invite you.

Graller - Nimrodel. Hanging in Celedon <sp> right now

So I think I want to pick up Mines of Moria but the retail boxes are hard to find on the cheap.

I found this site that sales you a key. Anyone use this before? I want to unlock all the Moria content/extra classes and get VIP for a month in one fell swoop so I can give all my character fatter wallets and backpacks.

Looks like they are having a welcome back event over the coming week - I just got an email which mentions +10% monster xp and apparently has a code for 250 free turbine points. (can’t see it properly on phone though)

This will probably tempt me back to log in and have a muck around. I did fall back from VIP (subscriber) to premium, I’ll see if I get sick of using points on fast travel or not :-)

I just put a Warden’s Javelin of the Third Age into the kin house chest near the ale keg. It’s for warden’s level 51 and above. If you take the javelin, you have to drink from the keg, it’s tradition.

So Knights of QT3… how’s it going? I haven’t been able to play in weeks due to being busy at work and at home, hope the game remains as popular as ever though. Hope to get back into it in a couple of weeks.

I think LOTRO is holding up, there’s been some chatter in GLFF about the Nimrodel population being down (maybe because of Rift) but I’ve managed to PUG Carn Dum twice over 3 days. I’d like to put together a power group and do that one and the other full fellowship instances where Amarthiel is camped out.

I just found out who Sara Oakheart was today and I want to exact my revenge!

I’m down! That Sarah Oakheart must pay! Especially for all that slow walking back in Breeland early on in the epic quest for her stupid staff.

Sheesh guys, spoilers! (Hehe, for the really quite old game… :)

I don’t even recall Sarah from early on, but i will totally not help her get her staff now! Unless i have, in which case sorry for the mess, good luck cleaning it up.

Should any potential European player pass through you’re welcome to join the one-man Qt3 Kinship on Withywindle. Search for “Wardens of Tharbad” or look up Starless or Arcathlon in-game. Everyone is welcome.
