Lowe's steps right into it, rolls around in it

Yeah. It reminds me of the thread we had here a couple of years back about one of these so-called family groups protesting some catalog because the pictures of kids in their (extremely modest and kid-appropriate) bathing suits were “too sexy.”

Hah, I got lucky.

Before Florida Family Association founder David Caton started protesting against the loving families shown on All American Muslim, he tried his hand at writing. His 1990 book, Overcoming the Addiction to Pornography, is a treasure trove of weirdness.

All the new scientist proves is that conservatives are too stupid to get porn for free =)

Oh my God! Are you eating a cut-out of John Candy right this very minute?

Perhaps so. I know somebody who used to work for one of the companies that supplied pay-per-view for hotels. She told me that there was a sharp uptick in porn sales whenever a hotel was hosting a religious convention.

It would be awesome to have hard data on this stuff.

Accurate.

what the fuck is porn addiction?

never not eating john candy

I don’t know, that one does tend to be true

They actually did have had data for this, but of course it’s internal to the company.

Is john candy for dessert after john ham?

I think this guy posts over in the TVs, Books and Music subforum. I remember he had an issue with an episode of Chuck being unrealistic once.

All the data is hard. So hard.

I’m glad vocal bigots control everything.

I don’t have the vocabulary to adequately express my utter contempt for these fuckers.

Heaven forbid there be a hidden agenda that goes against American values - better to have your agenda open and public, like many Christian fundies.

Birge admitted that the “decision comes across as bending to bigotry,” and “it also appears that we did not support people who deserve support as people and as Americans.”

“For that,” he wrote, “I am profoundly sorry.”

Birge added: “Mostly, I just thought the show sucked. Based on our dealings with TLC and the simple assessment of the show, I decided we should put our money elsewhere. Apologies again.”

I like this quote.

The show does suck. I entirely approve of killing it for that very reason.
