Yom Haatzmaut i.e. independence day is a definite Let’s Eat day, not just a mellow ok. It’s a major BBQ day throughout the country.
And what’s up with all the trees? I thought only Tu Bishvat is a tree day. I’m really ignorant about judaism for a jewish person.
Man when I saw this thread title I thought that was a newly discovered asteroid that was finally going to wipe us out.

I have no idea what half of those are, but Sukkot stands out as a biggie. It’s like a harvest celebration.
I think all those years in the desert made us really want more greenery around.
