Just got home and watched the trailer. It’s definitely a Mad Max trailer. There’s no need for a question mark. I thought you had linked to some kind of weird ARG or viral video or something where the link to Mad Max wasn’t clear. But no, it’s just a new trailer for Mad Max.
I don’t like the fact that in the car customization shop, it says West Coast Customs. What’s up with that? There’s franchises springing up in the Mad Max universe now? Car upgrade franchises?
We can only hope , but I know I’ll be missing the grappling hook & chute.
They are doing JC3 simultaneously aren’t they? That’s my game of the whatever year it comes out.

New trailer thing! This is less than a month from release, where is the hypes?
I think after the movie released it was clear for me this is never going to do it justice… I do wonder if the devs feel the same. I’m pretty sure they didn’t get to see the fullmovie until very late in development (for example, they changed their color correction to match the movie better).
Actually its not tied to the story of the recent movie at all, from what I read. Where is Brian Rubin, he was very excited 2 years ago for this when he created the forum topic, and its not a space game. SO ARE YOU STILL EXCITED? :p
It’s definitely tied to the world (many similar nomenclature and place names, and identical visual design of many characters). It might not be related to the story, but it’s certainly riding on branch recognition. The problem is that what Mad MAx represented before and after the release of Fury ROad are two different things. Expectations (at least in my case) have radically changed. If this game messes with the franchise/world, I’ll pass unless it’s amazingly good, because I don’t want the (new) franchise spoiled :P
I am, but now that I’ve seen the movie, I’m not sure if the game can come anywhere near close to being as awesome as the movie.
Since I have yet to see the movie I may pre order this. Looks like a great Max game. It is on Green Man gaming VIP offer today.
I’ve seen the movie and will be all over this if reviews are positive before release (assuming there’s no blackout.) I sure hope they get the driving down or the whole thing will fall apart.
Still a day one purchase for me. This looks just like the kind of open world game I can sink my teeth into for a satisfying week or so.
Different characters and stories, so you still should watch the movie :)

Yeah, I noticed that. It’s tempting, but I pretty much never pre-order games on principle. Hope it’s good.
Especially after WB botched Batman PC release. I will wait and get this later on sales.
That WB logo is really starting to tempt me. I saw it so often during Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, and now during Witcher 3. So when I see it for Shadows of Mordor and Mad Max, some part of my brain goes: ooooooooo, I wants it.
Avalanche confirmed they are doing the PC version.
