Saints 31, Panthers 10. Reggie Bush comes up huge, but no one is as huge as Daryl Uszakiewicz! (Note: May not actually be his real name.) In the fourth quarter, with Carolina driving after a terrible Brees pick in the back of the end zone, All-Universe rookie LB James Sneed pressures Jake Delhomme into a wobbling duck that falls into Uszakiewicz’s mitts, and the fifth-round draft pick, starting at DE for reasons unbeknownst to the coaching staff, rumbles 50 yards for the game-clinching TD, outpacing All-Time-And-Space RB DeAngelo Williams to make it there. For one day, at least, Uzi can hobnob with the football gods.

Next week he’ll probably put his helmet on backwards, and all will be normal.

The 12-3 Saints battle for a first-round bye next week, hoping their 6-0 division record and 11-1 NFC record will give them the tiebreaker against Dallas, Philadelphia, and Green Bay.

I got your Message, Vegas, but didn’t see you online. I’ll try again around 6:30 PST.

Len

Robb – Lenkenobi’s been trying for a while to get your game going; if I don’t see it underway by 11:00ish EST, I’ll give you the nudge-and-reinvite so he can get his game in vs. the AI before the week rollover.

Actually, I’m tired and about to head to bed early, so I’m gonna go ahead and do the nudge-and-reinvite now :)

Okay, with the franchise about to roll over to Week 17, we have one important Week 16 game with actual-human implications: Cowboys/Giants. A win keeps the Cowboys on top of their division alongside the Eagles. A loss puts the Iggles in the lead.

Week 17 has the following important games:

  • San Diego v. Seattle: The game that can decide the all-AI AFC West champ, as well as a possible wildcard berth for the Seahawks (with a Seattle win and a Carolina loss)
  • Carolina v. St. Louis: The Panthers have to win in order to keep their wildcard spot.
  • Raiders v. Chiefs (AI): Raiders have possible playoff hopes, they need to stay alive pending the outcome of their week 16 game and those of the Chargers.
  • Bears v. Packers: Chicago COULD theoretically have a longshot at the wildcards with a win here and losses by Carolina and Seattle. MAYBE.
  • Cowboys v. 49ers: It’s the 80s all over again! Everything hinges on the week 16 game for Dallas, though. Either they take the division, or they have to make it in as a wildcard.
  • Cardinals v. Eagles: I’m calling this for Game Of The Week. Arizona has their division wrapped up, but Philly needs this win.

I love when Week 17 games are important!

And speaking of unimportant games - James! You’re taking over the Bungles, yes? When do you want to get our exhibition game in? (Not tonight, that is)

Nice summary. I figured I was out of the playoff picture entirely. I wish I could control the AI Lambs and let Strummer control the AI Bolts in our respective games.

Are the Rams AI now? Get Cubit to come back!

Yeah…he tucked his tail rather than let me have revenge on him :p

He should just stay in the league, even if he wants to keep the stink of Qt3 off him for awhile.

Cubit! NFC West represent! Come back!

Wait, since strummer’s in my division, I swept him this year, and I think I can beat him again if he makes the playoffs, I should be rooting for him.

Cubit! Stay away!

Billboard material.

For both of you, though, so it evens out.

Cowboys vs Giants.

Let me know when you want to play. I am free most weekday evenings between 7-11pm est, and pretty much anytime on Sat/Sun with prior notice.

Technically that’s LAST week’s game. You guys should have played it by now.

I like the drama, but don’t think my game is dramatic this week. To avoid a rollover coin flip game, Tal had to boot VegasRobb who wasn’t available to play. The Eagles won that one, bringing the record to 12 and 3. I don’t know how the Dallas/Giants game will be resolved with a human game or rollover, but I know Strummer lost to the Saints this week. That would put his record to 10-5. With a win this week, the 11-5 would still not beat a 12 and 3 team, no matter how they finish in Week 17.

Now…if Cowboys lose both weeks (doubtful, Pumpkin is a great player, AND is playing the CPU last week), then Strummer could overtake him in the WildCard Hunt. I am not keeping up with Tie-Breakers at this point between them.

Cowboys win both weeks, they go to 13 and 3, are tops in NFC East, and Eagles lose to Cardinals next week would still go to 12 and 4, which would still be enough for the WildCard spot.

Am I calculating this correctly?

Just win yer damn game, monkey!

If Strummer wins in Week 17, he’s 11-5. If the Cowboys lose two straight, they’re 11-5. Panthers have the tiebreakers.

LOLZ!

That’s twice I’ve done that.

C’mon SIM Cowboys. Win one for your slacker coach.

Sorry for the late rollover this week, had something come up today. Rolling forward now :)

Or not – “Unable to connect to EA Franchise servers”, or something to that effect. Will try again tomorrow morning.

Something’s up. I’m experiencing that same issue right now.
