Good Lord, man! Does Omniscia owe you money? Take your boot of his throat, already!
This coming from the Eagles player, who put up 60+ points every other game last season!
When I played Omniscia and was leading by, uh, 40 or so, I spent the fourth quarter calling running plays and putting in backups. Kicked a lot of field goals.
Omn, you using the Bucs standard playbook?
Yes. For the authenticity.
Personally I think the Bucs playbook is pretty good.
Not cool. You don’t do this to the NFC South, man. The Saints will remember this.
The Bucs are like our little brothers.
I did say I felt bad about the beating. And the score goal wasn’t personal, I was just trying to match the way the Eagles put up points.
Good against remote’s one thing; good against the living? That’s something else.
Baltimore 41 - Pittsburgh 7
Worst. Game. EVER.
Playing in the rain in Baltimore, we kick off and can’t stop their initial drive. 7-0 BAL.
Dominique Foxworth picks off our first attempt at a pass and runs it 32 yards for a TD. 14-0 BAL.
They kick off, we fumble it! Five fumbles combined in the first half.
Pittsburgh’s only score - and practically only successful offensive play - was a 67 yard run by Marshawn Lynch. We did manage to take Todd Heap out of the game with a high ankle sprain, and then put some pain on Ray Rice - but Baltimore wised up and retaliated with a crushing tackle on Hines Ward, shattering his old-man ribs and putting him on the shelf for two weeks.
We play the Ravens AGAIN in two weeks.
Steelers were held to a mere 42 yards passing, with 3 INTs (one was on a fake punt so it doesn’t really count) - inquiries are being made to the possibility of Jack English sneaking into the locker room, chloroforming Ben, and stealing his jersey.
We also got the first Unnecessary Roughness penalty I’ve ever seen in Madden. So there’s that bright point. That, and the fact that we out-rushed the Rice/McGahee combo.
Note: the 46 defense DOES NOT WORK against Baltimore. Change something!
I’ve never seen so many fumbles (5 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter). They didn’t end in a whole lot of points but, man, the ball spent a lot of time on the ground Crazy stuff.
I honestly think I played worse this game than in that 91-36 blowout against the Texans. This was a live-in-infamy, shame-of-the-ages, your-career-is-over game for some of my guys.
Was the weather bad? That’s a lot of fumbles…
The weather was bad, the team was bad, the playcalling was bad - if it could in any way, shape, or form be given the qualifying adjective of “bad”, it was bad.
Unless it was horrible. There was a lot of horrible.
Ugh, rain makes for LOTS of fumbles.
Add that in with the non-accelerated clock and long quarters (I’m not complaining!), and you will get a bunch in bad weather.
I lost to the AI Giants. Key stats were Brandon Jacobs 21 carries for 140 yard and most gruesomely 14! broken tackles. Add in Eli Manning going 22 for 25.
All my games this year have been fun even this one. The GMen scored on almost every possession and the Hawks rose to the challenge but when we finally got a lead on them late in the forth and they fumbled…the Ruling Overturned and the bulled into the endzone again.
And finally, Down by 4 driving with less than a minute the ball gets popped up in the air for a flukey INT. End of game.
I am complaining. :)
These games take too long. Especially if there is a disconnect, or you are playing the AI.
I’ve never felt like a winning game takes too long. Losing games, however, then I’d prefer 3 minute quarters to get it over with.
I think we took a vote around week 2 to determine the game length, and the majority settled on eight minute quarters, no accelerated clock. We tried seven minutes for week 1, and the game felt too short, then; I played Talisker in the opener and I think we had a total of three drives in the first half with ball-control offenses.
I played a non-league game with Mightynute last night with no trouble, so it looks like my issues from the strummer game were a one-time-only feature. Here’s hoping!
