Had a good game with Ty this afternoon/evening.
The weather was bad and rainy, and his opening kickoff to me ended with this amazing play followed soon by this.
Not a good way to start off the home game!
After a harsh verbal beating by Singletary, the team got the message. The defense held firm and only gave up field goals for the rest of the game, and the offense woke up for the first time this season and got some big plays out Smith, Davis, and Gore.
A pick six on a screen by Dwight Lowery ended the Rams comeback hopes, and the Niners ended up winning 35-19.

Quick recap of Giants vs Bills. The Giants ended up having one of “those” games where things just aren’t working, highlighted by Deshun “Of Course I’m a Rookie” Ivory “intercepting” a toss play in the back field and taking it to the house. Video is on the site. Also, my DBs decided to shoot up before the game or something because they were all over the Giants WRs for most of the game, intercepting the ball 4 times or so. Nate “The Only Way to Win is to Not Let me Play” Davis went 6/7 with 1 TD for 80ish yards. It’s another game where turnovers are really the story of the game.
Good game, Ike. As I said, it’s good to get that one dud out of the way early. Take vengeance on next week’s team!
You seem to have a disturbing knack for that. ;)

It’s all that rookie ROLB Ivory. He’s a constant threat that drives the rest of my D into a frenzy. :)
I have never, ever seen a linebacker do that before. Usually they’ll come in unblocked and tackle the runner in the back field, not intercept the pitch. Wow.
That guy is scary. Take it from someone in the division.
Better watch out, Patriots!
The 3-0 Patriots welcome it!

Is there a way to save more than 5 videos for sharing? I hate having to take down last weeks replays before posting this weeks.
BTW - love your replays all!

Strummer and I got our game in this evening. I came out establishing the run early and had a decent drive going but it stalled just in time for me to miss a 26 yard FG due to wonderful Madden lag. Strummer felt so bad though he threw a pick to me the play after which I then converted into a TD.
The game didn’t feature a lot of big plays. I had multiple long ball control drives and my defense played well. Strummer had his TE and Calvin Johnson Jr. working as he mounted a comeback to get within a TD but couldn’t get the onside kick and that ended the game.
Hey Omniscia, wanna play within the next few hours?

Just noticed this now… I can try, but I have a meeting in about 15 minutes. I don’t know how long that will take. I’ll hop on XBL when it’s done and see if you’re about.
Just post here when you’re free. I’ll check in sporadically.
The Patriots defeated the Jets 38-7 on the strength of an efficient and unstoppable short passing game, as well as a perfectly capable running game for about the first time ever. Jamaal Charles forever!
Also, eff Randy Moss. Eff him in the ear.
Jerod Mayo had two big hits on Carson Palmer that directly caused interceptions, one of which was run back for a TD. I’m really trying to be sad about losing Charles, but having a big time playmaking linebacker who actually makes my defense function properly was so worth it.
Okay, I’m free starting… now!
I’m in the middle of a game. I’ll be done in like 20 minutes. Edit: I’m heeeeeeere

For all your people who were whining about my passing attack, please go laugh at my last game. Childan crushed everything about my offense and beat me not just once… but twice. The first game, down by 7 with a minute left, I’d recovered an onside kick and was halfway down the field. I got my 4th delay of game penalty (I was chatting a lot), and the game gave me the message “you’ve been kicked from the game for excessive delay.” WTF!!!
Childan gave me the choice to replay or count that one. Stupidily I asked to replay the game only to get beat even worse the second time.
Childan is a very formidable opponent.
BTW - How do you double-cover a Wide Receiver that’s killing you?
Philly beats Miami 28-20. The heroes of the game were the Philadelphia Defense who created 5 turnovers (4 int + 1 fumble) and newly acquired Hines Ward who caught 2 TD’s on short slot routes. Heavy rain game with lots of slipping players and poor throws. Once again another team plays deep pass defense against Philly and we ended up going to the short dump-off game a lot (much like, as anyone who saw the Kolb-led Eagles in the beginning of the season knows, real life). LeSean McCoy, RB, caught 6 passes – the most on my team. gg Omniscia!
