Pride is at stake my friend. Pride. Since I have none of it left, I have nothing to lose!
Hey Omni, my wife is gonna be out from 7 to about 9 your time, so let’s try to play tonight.
Beat him like a rented mule, 7x6! Show the Dolphins that they can’t just walk all over the Kansas City defense! Break his back and make him humble!
Wrong! I need Omni to lay a beating on the disreputable Chiefs (as I have not faith that I will be able to do it myself). At the very least take a folding chair to Dexter McCluster’s ACL, Four Horseman style.
I have no objections to McCluster going down, as long as KC can put Koa Misi on the shelf.
Let me just warn you. The Bucs are hungry! HUNGRY!
Okay, sounds good. I’ll try and get on around 7:00.
Or shortly thereafter. Gotta chat with Grandma first…
Just call him Chad “Perfect Passer Rating” Henne.
Holy bejeezus, Omni. You weren’t messing around with Henne there. Hot damn.
AFC East championship game next week, then. Looks like we got ourselves a fight to schedule.
I wasn’t neglecting the running game, either. Ronnie got 30+ carries for 200+ yards, one touchdown, and three fumbles.
All right, rolled over to Week 16! And almost every division has a fight for the title on its hands:
AFC East: The 9-5 Dolphins face the 8-6 Jets. A win by Miami will clinch the division for them, while a win by the Jets will give New York the head-to-head tiebreakers.
AFC North: Baltimore has a 1 game lead over Pittsburgh, with both teams guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.
AFC South: The Colts have sewn up the division, and now are just practicing for the postseason.
AFC West: The Chargers are two games out in front of the Chiefs, but if Kansas City wins their head to head game AND the season-ender with San Diego losing both of those, then the Chiefs are going to the playoffs.
In the NFC!
NFC East: Giants and Eagles are tied at 7-7 in a race to see who can claim the division title.
NFC North: The Vikings and the Packers are duking it out at 9-5 each.
NFC South: The Panthers have risen to 12-2, tying the Falcons for the divisional lead.
NFC West: And in another 12-2 battle, the 49ers and the Cardinals are striving to unseat each other for the lead.
Every division right now is within one loss of being decided or lost. This is officially the best season ever.

Falcons over the Bears 38-24. Featured a few turnovers, a 73 yard screen pass to Brandon Boutte for 6, a crazy catch and physics defying tightrope walk by Roddy White for a 74 yard TD, and a field goal that grazed the inside of the post and went in. The game probably mostly turned on a Falcons interception that then turned into that Roddy White catch a play or two later.
Man, when I played hellens, I think I had 5 picks in the first half alone. I kid you not. I was not having a good day and that sure was shown in the game. Fun trying to come back from that, but I think Freeman was out to hate me that day (and I made some really bad passes).

I saw the box score of that game. Like 9 turnovers total? 5 picks and a fumble for you, 2 picks and a fumble for Hellens. That is insane.
It was insane. I went all the way down the field three separate times (the hard way, 5-15yds at a time) only to give it over in the endzone. I got one INT in the first by throwing up a silly one in the last bit of the first half, but the rest were all things that should not have happened (meaning, I probably should not have thrown them in the first place). I think maybe my rage at the day was blinding me.
And yeah, that one fumble? Was another drive where it looked like I was going to score and I decided to hold onto it instead of tossing up another INT…and Freeman put it on the ground. It was brutal.
That said, on the opposite side, hellens just kept getting big plays. All of his receivers, even his TE, are apparently faster than my guys. Multiple times he got a screen or short yardage pass and turned it into a TD.
Crazy game indeed.

It is amazing you managed to keep it to a 7 point deficit.
I thought the same thing at the end. But that is pretty much how all of my games have gone this season. I lost most of my games by one TD or less.
Part of it is my team. To play the Bucs, you have to be willing to be slow and steady. I do not have flashing beyond Winslow and my OLine is rough in spots. So getting behind can be a pretty damning thing. But even if I play another team, I often end up playing from behind…
I can not figure out why I play better from behind. This is why I wish we could record games, so I could figure out my own patterns.
And the Jets’ season ends in ignominious defeat, in driving snow, 11 mph winds, and our QB shelved with a torn shoulder labrum after another Koa Misi sack. The game was already two scores in the Dolphins’ favor at that point, we just couldn’t get anything going and were flatly outplayed. Good season, all. See you all in Madden 12.
