Whew. Crazy game with Ike. Giants were down 17-0 towards the end of the second, but Ike came roaring back passing the ball around the field at will. He pulled things even at 24, but I was able to get into field goal range as time expired and the 49ers won 27-24. It was a really great game. That ain’t no 8-8 team!
Looks like Xaroc and I will meet in the conference championship game.

Trying to line up the NFC championship for tonight so we can have both games on the same night. I would imagine if our game happens it will be sometime around 7 or 8 EST. The AFC championship is at 9pm EST. The wails of regret and broken dreams start sometime after the first game ends and Broadway or I lament or our loss or fuzzy concedes his game before it even starts.
fuzzy and I are set for 7pm PST (10 EST).
But in the interest of fairness I will gracefully accept his concession now.
But, I’d encourage folks to jump into our x-box party and blindly heckle anyway.

It was a really great game. Congrats to Xaroc! Now, time to kick some AFC ass. :)
Ravens beat the Chargers 24-7 to force an all bird Super Bowl.
The game featured a lot of long possessions on each side. In a battle of the two best defenses in the league, there was a lot of punting but a few opportunistic scores by the Ravens’ offense, forcing the Chargers to play catch up at the end.
I have a lot of respect for Blue’s play calling, often forcing me to my 2nd or 3rd read or audible entirely to get the scores I did. That’s a really good defense that I’m glad I don’t play every week.
League rolled. Unfortunately, I leave for my summer vacation tomorrow. I won’t be back until July 3rd or 5th, depending on how things go. Xaroc, let’s plan to play late that week.
