I’d probably switch of we played another season. It would hurt to leave my Ravens, though. Too bad they aren’t this good in real life.

I’d be good with a break too. Two full seasons and a fantasy season is a lot. We’ll never get another season in before Madden 12 so it’d be a partial season.

It is really too bad you can’t do a setup where you just play people in the league like 8 games or something. Like more of a hockey style setup.

But what’s his POT stat? If it’s B-C or lower he could already be at max potential.

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to set a playoff tree and simulate the real playoffs when they come around.

Yeah, not enough time for a full season. However, NCAA 12 is coming out next week. Any interest in a college online dynasty?

I really liked the demo so I’m considering it. I wonder if I can lead UNLV to the Mythical National Championship Game?

I haven’t tried the demo but heard it was really arcadey. If I bought it I would take WVU but considering you can’t setup custom schedules (that I know of) we would all have to be in the same conference to have a chance of playing each other.

I did not like the demo at all, and I have generally liked the NCAA games.

Even so, we’d have to be able to set custom conferences, I am not going to play as a Big East team.

Who are you going to play as a Big 10 team? Christ they are overrated. :)

I would also consider playing as Oklahoma or Tulsa if that helps out.

Broken page post.

Conference USA or the Big 12…pretty tempting.

(if the PAC 10 and the SEC never existed…ha!)

I’d prefer to play as Texas, but would be willing to play as another team to keep us all in the same conference. I see a problem in there being such a gross disparity in the quality of college teams, as opposed to the “any given Sunday” parity of the NFL.

I could play as Michigan to thrill you all with mediocrity.

Oh wait…running QB…maybe I WOULD play as Michigan :)

I’m not real interested in a college dynasty season. It would overlap with Madden and Ray Lewis doesn’t play for Miami anymore.

I also wasn’t real thrilled with the last NCAA I picked up (I’d guess 2009). It felt like it was made by the B team.

While it’s not officially listed anywhere, the text below comes from IGN’s preview. Count me in if we can do a custom conference, as that would make it so we could all choose a decent team right away and be somewhat competitive. Unless you choose Michigan that is…

"I was a big fan of online Dynasty last year, and applying these coaching options to a group of friends is what really gets me excited. A Dynasty where we all start out as offensive or defensive coordinators puts a new spin on the competition, but it’s far from the only tweak. When you setup a Dynasty, you have control like never before – you can make and break conferences.

Now, sure, you could customize conferences in NCAA Football 11, but that was really just a swap. You could switch a team out of a given conference, but you had to put another in its place. This year, you can do whatever the hell you want. You can take the Big 12 and drop it down to four teams or go nuts and crank it up to 16. You can set it so that your conference only plays weekday games, name the divisions, and even mess with who gets to go to which bowl. NCAA Football 12 gives you the keys and lets you drive the game wherever you want it to go.

I can’t wait to see what this means for my online Dynasty with friends, but there are even more bells and whistles in that vein. Whereas last year I could go on the web at work and recruit players for my console-based team, this year I can go on and simulate games against the computer where I’m actually calling the shots. Rather than have to play the AI when I get home, I can play the game from my work PC – pick plays and even sub in players. I can watch the on-screen dots (it looks like when you watch a football game on summary on ESPN.com) move down the field during conference calls and make progress for my Dynasty. The league commissioner can even advance the week via the web this year. "

Last I checked you went to a Maryland school so that means you get Maryland hometown boy. :)

Just some comments from an NCAA player:

In the NCAA games, making it to the BCS championship is significantly more difficult for teams that aren’t in the SEC, and even more so for teams that aren’t in the Big Six. My friend once made the joke that if you’re in the SEC you automatically get bumped up 10 ranks in the polls. So, yes, you could, but it would take at least three years of consistent high-level success, really tough scheduling, and top-10 ranked recruiting classes.

NCAA 12 may change this, but I doubt it.

You can make custom schedules. If you’re not in the SEC, it’s essential if you want to play for the MNC. You can also customize conferences, though you can’t change the total number of members in a conference. NCAA 11 is not arcadey, if I understand your meaning, and I presume NCAA 12 won’t be either.

It was, but don’t tar the whole franchise with that brush. NCAA 11 is good, though it has some flaws. NCAA 12 should be better. :)

I preordered via Amazon :)

Let’s all play in the Mountain West!

Gentlemen…
I saw some football chat for NCAA, but…

I wanted to see if there was a Madden 12 league forming up.
If so, can I join up? If the thread is out there, please post.
And if we are getting one going, can I get the Eagles again?

Think there’s any interest in a ladder system similar to what the guys are doing with frozen synapse? I’m talking separate from the regular league you guys run. See for me, the league games are a little too long and spread out and EA just hasn’t given us the proper options to make it more like offline mode.

I would love a system where on a monthly basis we challenge each other in regular online games and then the ladder leaders take place in a small tournament. If anything it will prevent us from having to play Philadelphia against randoms half the the time online.
