We need our shirts pressed properly and our current guy can’t tell slacks from ties…we’re getting desperate here!

Seriously though - I’d recommend keeping Ben. If you plan to start Jamocha, and he doesn’t pan out, you have a top-tier reserve. If someone’s starter goes down before Week 6, Ben’s value will be pretty damn huge. However, if you trade away Ben and Jamustard turns out to be a bust, you’re boned faster than a college co-ed at a Pittsburgh afterparty.

Or you can go my route, make sure all your QBs blow, and then you don’t miss it so much when your starter goes down with an injury.

I don’t know. Not trading Ben is a huge waste of that first QB pick. Ben has a lot of value that is wasted if he is just sitting on the bench.

I’m in the same boat with a stud rookie RB that makes the incumbent expendable. Yes, Dailin and I could take low ball offers just to get something out of them. But giving them away isn’t the best since injuries can play a huge role in the league it seems. I scanned the list of teams, and backups are pretty crappy for most of us, and that is when we can drive up the cost of oil… er players.

You are correct, Hellens, but the difference with a QB is that they get no playing time and make no contribution as a 2nd stringer.

A 2nd string cornerback or running back will see plenty of action in that capacity.

I’m all for depth, but keeping 2 elite QBs on the roster just in case of injury is silly, especially since QBs are so valuable.

I generally don’t want to trade within the division, but if you want to swap comparably-rated receivers, I would consider sending Roy Williams out of town for Antonio Bryant. Pending further review of their stats, of course. Both are an 83 overall, I believe, but I’d need to look at the specifics.

Williams just hasn’t fit into our system, for some reason, but Antonio and I had a good rapport down in Tampa.

Looking at the Steelers roster, the CB and RG positions are a little weak. Dailin could get 85+ rated players for both of those positions if he plays his cards right in a Big Ben trade.

If I’m not incorrect, I think I play the Super Bowl contestants and you, the other AFC Championship player, in my first 4 games. It looks like a tough way to start a season.

Weird, I know I clicked my kicker Pettrey but it’s showing someone else. I’ll go fix that if it’s really incorrect on the xbox.

In case anyone wonders what I’m doing and doesn’t want to go back a few pages: http://www.quartertothree.com/game-talk/showpost.php?p=2562797&postcount=1641

I’ve been sending out offers, but people either arent interested or seem to think ben might fondle them or something (not saying that wont happen).

Was I in need of QB, I would offer pretty high for Big Ben. He is pretty good in Madden, no?

Just quoting this so everyone knows what is going on tonight.

I probably will not make it tonight. Someone Crumpler me if you would.

To facilitate the Edwards/Barclay trade, we had to sign a LE before we could release Edwards. I took the lowest rated LE on the board. After FA, I’ll release him.

A realtor in Minnesota spotted Rothlisberger looking at a copy of “Condos For Rent: Twin Cities”.

Not sure if that means anything, but there it is.

Put Big Ben in the state without any women. Smart move.

Condo? psh. Big Ben needs a house boat. I hear you can have some sweet Minnesota parties on them.

as long as they have pianos on them…

The Raiders fall to the New England Juggernauts, 38-0.

However, there are chinks in the armor. CAN I GET SOME RUN BLOCKERS GEEZ. Jamaal Charles had 17 carries for 87 yards, which is actually 16 carries for 13 yards and 1 carry for 74 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders read every running play and made nine tackles for loss. I pulled up replays to watch up to three people come off their blocks before Charles even had the ball. On every running play I chose, they run-blitzed.

Which is weird, because Brady threw for 376 yards on the day. Randy Moss was the big winner, catching nine for 168 yards and a score. Wes Welker added 6 for 87. Six Patriots caught passes on the day.

Ben Jackson, our rookie MLB, forced TWO fumbles.

All in all, a wonderful win, but the utter failure of the running game has me quite honestly baffled.
