He must have just missed the bus to Flavortown.
Subverting democracy is now just a campaign strategy.
And, of course, yet another partisan issue:
But hours later, the board — composed of two Republicans and two Democrats — reversed itself, unanimously agreeing to certify the results and ask the secretary of state to conduct an independent audit. The about-face left Democrats and voting rights advocates cheering.
Edit: Another one before the “about face.”

Who knew CNN would be the one to have an accurate headline describing the situation.

So tired of the framing of Trump’s actions I’ve seen in other news sources.
HE JUST WANTS THE LEGAL VOTES COUNTED GUYZ

It took mainstream media so damn long to say that Trump lied. Over three years. Damn that pissed me off.

They were scared of losing access.
I don’t know if Biden or anyone else in the next 4 years can do something about that, but it should not be legal for the White House to shut out legitimate news outlets which he kind of did anyway.

I think you mean Trump and his critics had differing views!
Let’s present GOP talking points as “reporting.” What could go wrong?
“Sir we have some grave concerns, you appear qualified for this position, given that how can we possibly approve your appointment?” -Some Republican Senator

Where does the media come up with this shit? I want elite when it comes to the top jobs in America. I don’t see football fans clamoring for a mediocre quarterback or a patient complaining their doctor is too good. Why do some people want idiots running government?
Talking points fed to them by Rubio and Cotton. Then they repeat as if it’s general speculation. This is how the media operates, distilling rightwing accusations and then generalizing it:
“Concern grows over rising deficits.”
“Warning bells sound at Democratic overreach.”
Etc.
“Many people are saying…”

Rubio I can somewhat buy, but Tom Cotton went to Harvard. He’d have to be a complete and utter fool and hypocrite (both very plausible) to decry the Ivy League.

He has an R in front of his name, man. More than plausible, almost guaranteed.
Look, only hardscrabble bootstrappers like Steve Mnuchin, Ivanka Trump, and Betsy de Vos should be in government. Everybody knows that.
Well, Cotton is both those things and worse, but I might have conflated Cotton with populist-in-training Hawley.

Cotton is the guy itching to take up the white nationalist authoritarian mantle.
Well, damn, that didn’t exactly narrow it down either, did it.
