So does clearing a case mean an arrest was made, or that someone was convicted?

It means an arrest was made or a non-criminal reason was determined, I believe. So if someone was a missing person and returned that would be a clearance, as would if someone was arrested for kidnapping that same person. Convictions are handled by the prosecutors office.

Like seriously, how? Kavanaugh has a life seat. He isn’t up for reelection, he has no need to advance, he is at the top. There is no penalty for him, short of getting impeached (good luck) or Dems packing the court.

Which they should, but that’s a separate issue. But there are 13 districts, 1 Supreme per district as it was previously would be good.
