I had a brief vision of looking for a similar offer from Raleigh’s News and Observer and giving them the physical address of our local recycling facilities to deliver the useless papers to, but then I remembered that I have a subscription to WaPo’s digital offerings for one fourth what our moderately decent local rag charges and said fuck it, I can keep up with NC state legislative shenanigans via the somewhat shittier local TV news websites if I really need to (they don’t ban adblocking users yet like N&O does).
That picture makes Musk look like he’s being walled up in someone’s wine cellar and has just resigned himself to his fate.

Shameful, but to be a little fair, Clinton was a Presidential candidate and Mark Meadows is nothing, and a gigantic idiot.
Mark Meadows was the White House Chief of Staff. This is normally the person who does the actual heavy lifting of the Presidency (and a Cabinet member.)
Mark Meadows may indeed be an idiot. But he was not nothing.

That bulwark article is great, using Dan Crenshaw’s own words against him. I wonder if Crenshaw will read it and understand it, or ignore it.
What the press doesn’t seem to realize is that there isn’t a single Republican in office right now who isn’t part of the problem, and there sure as hell are ZERO Republicans in office who are the solution. I am very frustrated with the American media’s inability to see what is clearly the big block writing on the wall in front of them : Continue to play the “both sides” bullshit and minimize the Republican descent into fascism and their destruction of the rule of law, and the obvious end result will be the end of democracy, and the end of the free press along with it.
But when that day comes the media will be wringing their hands asking everyone “How could this have happened?!” when all along they were the ones with the power to prevent it.
Their conclusion will probably be Dems’ failure to reach out to white people in Ohio diners more.

I can name two GOP members in office that aren’t part of this problem. They are part of a different problem, but not this one.
But I think those are the exceptions that prove the rule.
