I notice that this just came out, and was wondering if any QT3ers have any thoughts to share on the series. Are these games only any fun if you have lots of people crowded around? How about just two people?
My 7 year old loves it.
Me, not so much.
2-4 drunk people or small children will enjoy it though.
Hmmm I think I might just get Super Smash Bros Melee.
This series is definitely more for children or casual gamers. Most of the challenges will be easier for people with some gaming background, however it’s often very entertaining to play these games with people that have little gaming background. Often you have to work together with them, and when they’re not so good, that’s a good time. :)

Always a good choice.

Is it really good? I’ve never played it but have seen many people playing it and they always seem to be having a good time.
I think Smash Brothers is one of the best 4 player console games out there. The amount of fun goes down a bit for each person you subtract, but even 2 player is still a good time.
It is, but it has a surprisingly high learning curve, at least based on when you see other people playing it. It kinda looks like a prettier Final Fight or Double Dragon with Nintendo characters, but it plays more like Street Fighter. Which is a good thing. It just surprised me how deep it is.
