Do you guys play melee Deadpool? I have less success than you but mine is mixed and not a particularly well thought out build on my part. I’ve heard melee DP is the way to go though.
I found him to be rough sailing until I picked up God Mode, at which point I virtually never died again.
I have a wacky movement build for DP built around his dash, foot Gougers, and all the bombs. Whatever works.
Was playing Human Torch yesterday, which I had avoided since if never been a fan of the character, but he’s a lot of fun, actually.

Combination of swords, minigun, stink bomb, foot gougers, little deadpool, teleport, inherent heal and explosive bullets. But there will be a retcon soon.
Any Human Torch fans? I had put off playing him because I’m not a fan of the character, but he’s the most fun I’ve had in MH with a purely ranged character (though we will see if that changes with Star-Lord on the way). I’ve bought a legendary for him and may end up trying to deck him out to raid with (though I may not do anything to crazy until Star-Lord and Rogue hit).
Rogue looks like she could end up being amazing, btw. Instead of going with a signature that could steal powers like they planned, they have a whole set of power-stealing abilities. They haven’t said exactly how it works, but I suspect there will be one for signature powers, one for ranged AoE, one for ranged single target, etc. Doomsaw posted a bunch of screens of her using various abilities, including Electro and Mandarin’s DoTs, Juggernaut’s shield, Gorgon’s petrification beam, and Torch’s Pyrotechnic Burst (which has become one of my favorite powers in the game).
My only fear about Rogue is that she’s going to end up being a multi-bar nightmare :)
He was my starter character and first to 60. Love him. So explode-y. I’m still a bit squishier than I like, but that’s kind of the point of a “glass cannon”. Been spending more time on other characters to get synergies. And of course when the little one plays (I sit with and help with controls and stuff on any tough fights) characters get switched in and out quite a bit.
I had so, so much fun with Torch. I think he’s probably the most solid character I’ve played so far, honestly. He’s squishy, but he has a great toolbox and staggering damage output. Jean Grey is probably more powerful, but it’s largely because as long as you’re fighting she hardly so much as takes damage, much less ever dips below 80% spirit. There’s not a heck of a lot to playing her, as a result. You just spam a couple of strong abilities and fly around burning everything near you. (At early levels this kills them, later on it’s not really damaging enough to be completely hands-free.)
I’m investing heavily in a couple of Torch’s passives to make him a bit more hardy. Considering putting sandals of Hercules on him for a bit more damage resistance.

Due to BOGO I ended up with Sue Storm from a box. Wow. Invisible Woman, a character I probably would not have purchased outright, is a real kick to play. Very pleasantly surprised.
Is the 300 shell random artifact box that I bought from the special event vendor a one time thing? If so that make Clayhulk sad and the tears make Clayhulk a salty, chalky, radioactive mess.
It is going to be available from the next event as well, but for a different currency (rewarded for first completion of shared daily quests). They’ve also said they will bring conch shells back for end of summer, so it will hopefully be back then. Hopefully it will be a regular occurrence.
I got my second Black Tom’s from that box (straight onto Storm, it went) which was nice. Jacket/hand/gem would have been better but at least it was one I had an immediate use for. I should be close to 100 shells again by the time the patch hits tomorrow so I should be in a good spot for when the event returns in several weeks.
Lots of pictures of things on the forums yesterday. Too many to link, so trawl through the dev posts from this tracker if you’ve not already seen them all. Also, approval from Marvel has been given and Nova is definitely coming in September. He’ll be the current young lad Sam, with two costumes (probably the one we’ve seen and one that matches his current comics outfit, but we’ll see). Then the enhanced Rich Rider Nova Prime costume will be along 2 or 3 weeks after that. Doomsaw posted that they’re probably going to make it cheaper than normal enhanced costumes, as the character has been so delayed.
Got a jacket from mine. No idea who I will put it on. I’ve not been on as much the last few days, so I won’t have enough for a second box. Think I am sitting around 150ish. I may just save my shells for when they come back.
Actually got a Shillelagh drop the other day. Thinking of putting it on Gambit. Wouldn’t mind a nice advanced aim robot dispenser for him either, which is a much better item now than most people give it credit for, but the rolls are not real good on the ones I have.
I have just gotten back to playing MH. They refunded all my characters’ power points, so I’m having to learn how to play them all over again (well, I’d be doing that anyway, but the refund means I have to spend time figuring out what I want to spec into first, THEN re-learning how to play!). I haven’t played for about 4 months so a few things are different. Random thoughts:
-
Moon Knight and Nightcrawler both seem the same as when I last played: Moonie is very tanky and NC is a ton of fun. MK is my best geared hero, I believe, and NC has some good gear so maybe that’s why things seem pretty smooth with them. Come to think of it, I haven’t taken either into a Cosmic so maybe I’m speaking too soon…
-
Emma seems pretty much the same. I read they nerfed minions but I don’t see any difference - they were ok but not great before, and they’re ok but not great now. I understand they got rid of the speed aura (but my guy still has it - maybe it’s just new mobs that don’t have it). My Emma has good gear but she is woefully lacking in the HP department (she’s sitting right at 10k) - I did a cosmic Hood run and he one-shotted her about 5 times (he does some sort of pistol shot thing? Whatever it was, I obviously had a hard time seeing and avoiding it). I did a couple of group cosmics afterwards and didn’t have any real issues, other than having to really fixate on her HP.
-
Squirrel Girl seems weaker. I recall being able to stand in just about anything and spam Death from the Trees and the healing ability (which I think is gone now) and she’d live. I did the Man-Ape instance (solo) and had a few deaths (Man Ape can one shot you in a number of ways, it seems!). Her gear is mostly cosmics - I’ve only gotten 5 unique drops for SG, and they’ve all been slot 4 - 3 guns and 2 of the things that give you Tippy Toe.
-
Have not revisited Rocket Raccoon, Storm, Hawkeye (58), or Iron Man (52).
-
I tried the heroes I received when I was away: Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, Psylocke, and Silver Surfer (got SS to 30 and Psylocke to 20). SS and Psylocke feel powerful. I need to spend more time with the others.
-
I have 8 Omega Points. They don’t come very fast when you’re leveling a new toon!
-
I like the shared quests.
-
Do you still get extra Odin Marks for the 1st legendary quest for each toon each day?
-
Conch shells: I have 150. Should I get some semi-worthless unique or save them for later? They don’t seem to drop very often for me.
MH still seems like fun!

I think the first legendary quest still nets you 1 extra Odin Mark. The best way to farm Odin Marks right now seems to be the Shared Quests. If you go to Midtown, you can usually complete that shared quest in 20-30 minutes. You’ll receive XP and two chests containing some blues/purples and anywhere between 6 and 10 Odin Marks.
If you have any interest in gearing your characters well then you should save up 300 shells and get the rare artifacts box. If you don’t reach 300 before the current event ends, just store the shells as they’ll be back in several weeks time.
^This.
Btw, charlatan, rocket is about to get a remake in the next 2-3 weeks or so, so you might wait on him. Storm just got a remake, and people have been raving, but it didn’t seem that different to me.
