It is a very fine line but bioware does it better than most.
Mass effect is certainly no oblivion thankfully.
If you push it too much you run in to the reason time limits died out, they aren’t fun. Imagine playing me4 for 30 only to find out that you don’t have enough time to save the earth from tali with God powers no matter what you do. Or what if you miss the ability to recruit garrus if you don’t notice his side quest?
Me3 did actually have that last example. If you didn’t do certain quests soon enough, you failed them and some pretty bad things happened. Sadly the gameplay effect of these was losing a small amount of points, but some had a great story impact.

Yeah, all I’m saying is that when it comes to urgency, suspension of disbelief is already pretty important, and having travel take “more” time wouldn’t necessarily tip the scales.
Give me the Citadel and one galaxy, and I’m set for a game or two.
Has Ashley always looked like a bee-stung Steve Perry with a bad boob-job and I just repressed the memory, or is this new for 3?
My argument is not that a tightly focused game such as the ones being bandied about in response to my last few posts wouldn’t be fun - my argument is that they would not be a Mass Effect game.

Snort! Yeah, she has.
And she’s still preferable to Kaidan.

They definitely added some va-va-voom.
But her face has always looked like she was punched one too many times.

I feel this discussion is lacking in pictures.

How much did the added dlc change or fix the ending? I’ve been trying to motivate myself to go through and see how it’s changed, but…just can’t go through the campaign again and lost my previous save. For that matter how has multiplayer been doing? I was really into it for a while, but there just wasn’t enough variation and I got bored trying to grind for the new characters to play. Shame they locked all the new characters behind pay or grind walls.

The multiplayer is still going strong, with a ton of new maps, objectives, and enemy types. Same basic core gameplay, of course.

The Citadel expansion, along with the last multiplayer expansion, Reckoning, has been announced.
I’m mildly disappointed that the last MP DLC will not have new maps. But both DLCs seem to be focused on serious fan service, so they’ll probably be good fun.
Oh, yeah, EDI-style sexbot is now playable in multiplayer :-D
Just finished and even though I wasn’t expecting much because I found the first two endings stupid and impenetrable, I am still underwhelmed.

Picked up the Citadel DLC. Playing through one last…laaast time. A few reviews suggest it goes MA2 dark, which I’m looking forward to :)

Finished it in one sitting. It was fan service of the highest order.

When does the dlc become avilable in the game? After the Cerberus attack on the citadel? Are Thane and Mordin included?

I don’t suppose you have a length estimate?
I did end up buying basically all of the ME DLC, but bioware does (in my opinion) have a problem in making DLC too expensive for the content in it.
$15 is pretty spendy for a DLC too. This better not be another hour DLC. Trailer does look pretty good, but bioware’s DLC past makes me very leery about spending $15 on a piece of unknown DLC.
I’m also kinda sitting on the fence for this, but Eurogamer seems to like it, so I’m hopeful.
Seems like a lot for DLC, does Origin ever do sales?
