‘send invites’ is different from ‘invite up to apartment’
I ran into a bug with the invites - I had decided to send out all the invites which apparently kicks you into getting the party started mode, though I canceled out of that because I wanted to talk to my crew members individually first. But when I went back to invite EDI to my apartment, I started up the conversation with Glyph to start the party again, and when I exited again I had lost the option to invite EDI. Hope that wasn’t really cool.
I think the best part for me so far is catching up with your assistant, who is involved in a war game tournament. There’s some funny crash zooms to her eyes when she runs into her opponent, and they start playing a game that punishes the loser in the same way that game from Never Say Never Again did. This DLC is some pretty fun side quest content.

As maligned as Leviathan and Omega were, I also enjoyed them. I completed each in separate 2-3 hour sessions. Not as good as Citadel or Lair of the Shadow Broker.
It’s been a year so my memory is hazy but my war asset readiness green bar is full and my readiness is 50%–is there no way to get 100% without doing multiplayer? I’ve never done multiplayer.
IIRC there is no way internal to the singleplayer to advance readiness, though I think there were ways to do so other than the multiplayer - something about iOS app connectivity or something. I wouldn’t worry about it. Not only is it a fairly meaningless number but if you’ve maxed out your assets you should still be okay for the minimal impact it does have. Or you could try the multiplayer. It’s honestly reasonably fun.

Does anyone know if the MP is still active? As in its actually possible to raise your warscore thingie? I remember this was one of the issues being debated when the game launched. Or Hell, even if you decide to play it in a year?
You can play it by your own. You will still raise the warscore even if you don’t finish wave 11 (extraction). As long as EA still provides the MP service you should be ok.
And Youtube tells me that people are still uploading mp vids, so it seems that the community is still active.
Last time I played was late last year, I think. Was very easy to get into a bronze or silver match with a full team back then (I don’t have the skills/equipment for gold).

Oh, the community is active. Maybe not as active as it has been, but there are still many, many people playing that portion of the game. I have never had issues where I couldn’t get a match going (that weren’t ultimately EA server issues, but that’s a whole other kettle of worms). Multiplayer for ME3 is actually quite fun, and I highly recommend it. It’s co-op based, and you typically play matches with 3 other players and aggregate everyone’s scores in the end, so even if you start off totally sucking from inexperience, you will still get rewarded. Also know that there’s no in-match text-based chat and most people use their mics sparingly, so it’s not as annoying as it could be in that regard. Just try not to get too overwhelmed by the year’s-worth influx of options.
EDIT: If anyone wants more information, or someone to give them a hand in MP and/or pointers to get them started, feel free to PM me.
Just want to second this. I really enjoyed it and will probably revisit if I get the Citadel DLC.
It has a slight flaw in that success on higher levels is very dependent on equipment, and you have no direct control over what kind of equipment you get access to (since you buy it in packs, where the content is randomized). On the plus, all characters in one class share level, which makes it easy and fun to try out different chars.

I’m still playing ME3 multiplayer daily. My Origin handle is cassius2002 if anyone’s interested in getting some games going.

Thanks guys - I guess its time for a complete playthrough then, with some MP added in :-)

Finished Citadel and found it to be just ‘ok’ at best. The fanservice is nice, the little vignettes with your crew and the party. Even the core mission and new villain was an interesting twist that could have been a nice wrinkle in the main story instead of limited to this sidequest. The new Citadel deck is a nice bonus, but all told I just didn’t find the DLC package really that necessary or worthwhile. For ardent fans that absolutely need more crew time and closure, it is a nice bonus…though at a $15 premium price the luster is lost.
Better than Omega at least, but not as solid as Leviathan, or even some of the best of ME2 DLC.

So, you destroy the Reapers, things get pretty damaged, but by the end of the extended ending, the Citadel is rebuilt, as are major cities (at least) around the galaxy - but in all that time, nobody has found the apparently still-breathing body of Cmdr. Shepard in the rubble? Really?
I like. What i also like is that bioware is giving away the soundtrack for free HERE.
Bioware, you might have done me wrong, but i still love you enough to buy this DLC, even though i won’t be playing it until i finish up star ocean 4. Yes, i’m a sucker, but i don’t expect to be disappointed (bought every ME DLC).
What’s the deal with the two ios apps/games that are supposed to integrate with ME3? Mass Effect Datapad (which gives you messages from the game on your ipad, and gives you a chance to get War Assets to add to Galaxy at War) and the game Mass Effect Infiltrator, during which you’re supposed to be able to transfer war assets to ME3 as well through “intel”?
Do neither of these work anymore? Jesus, I thought EA was already despicable for disabling online servers after less than 2 years - now their online supplements don’t even last 6 months (as I gather these have been broken for at least that time, if they worked at all)?
Is it still wrong to paint EA as the “bad guy”? Someone ask CliffyB.
The datapad app still works. I got my GE up to 80% by the time I finished the game (although I had played for awhile before to upgrade everything, giving you a little over 3% completion every 5 hours). It’s flaky, tho. 90% of the time, it wouldn’t recognize the fact my iPad was attached to my home network. Turns out, when you go into the galaxy map, if you repeatedly tap where the ‘Upgrade’ button is (lower right) until you hear the sound, one of two things will happen - either you will get the upgrade screen, or you’ll get the message that you need to be attached to the internet to work. But in either case - just hit the back button to go back to the galaxy map, and everything works peachy. It’s the oddest bug I’ve ever seen. And it worked 100% of the time for me.
Thanks for the workaround - worked! That is a really weird bug.

I never finished the game after getting part way through, what with the ending controversy and upcoming DLC so I just decided to wait until all the DLC were out, then run through it. Despite the poor ending, the game is excellent with a lot of emotional moments. A couple of ending related things I did note on this run through:
-
The “space magic” used in the ending is actually explained in the Codex. It talks about how the Crucible looks like it is able to harness the power of the mass relays to send an energy wave throughout the galaxy. It also mentions that the Crucible looks like it has the ability to track all Reapers throughout the galaxy. These would be both important things for the Crucible to work as it does at the end.
-
On the other hand, despite what Bioware says they intended, the Codex makes clear that the destruction of the relays would cripple intergalactic travel. It describes in great detail the difficulties of using the FTL travel that exists to move very far very fast. It says that stars are generally found in clusters (as seen on the galactic map) with vast distances between them, that there is a lack of planets where drive build up could be discharged, and refueling would also be difficult. Bioware said that stranding the alien fleet at earth with no future contact between the species was not their intent but their own Codex contradicts that.
Anyway, still a great game up to the last 15 minutes or so, and the Citadel DLC is really fun. A lot of fan service there, very funny writing, a sort of wink and breaking of the 4th wall and a lot of fun. I’d recommend it if you are a ME fan.

Ending spoiler complaints
It’s shitty everyone in the Citadel died when the Illusive Man and Reapers hijacked it. So much for buffing war asset of Citadel Defense Force. That and killing off Emily Wong via fucking Twitter.
