Wasn’t sure where to posts this. It looks like there is a Mass Effect announcement around the corner. Or at least they mention it a whole lot lately on their Twitter. Maybe a remaster of the original 3?
Would be a good way to make a boat load of cash after the Anthem bomb.
I can’t get excited about the prospect of remasters but I know I’d buy the damn things.

They’ve teased it before a few times. At least once when one of the BioWare Edmonton guys was a forum regular here. Granted, he’s not a decision-maker high up on corporate rung so he may have had knowledge of some preliminary work they started sometime but they’ve disappointed us so many times before about a remaster.
One of the old BioWare writers (Gaider? I can’t remember) tweeted recently (a few months ago) cryptically with a pic of some Mass Effect books/bibles so who knows.
Just put the whole Mass Effect series on GOG, DRM-free, and I’ll buy them all again.
I would pay for remasters on the current consoles; still have the 3rd game to play (plus Andromeda, if that counts).
Most likely, the trilogy is getting a Switch port. I mean, everything else is being ported to the damn thing.

I am surprised you feel strongly about this, especially given as many times as I know you’ve played through the original trilogy. A remaster would feel like a waste of time and effort to me - I realize they have EA backing but Bioware isn’t that large of a studio, and I’d far rather see something new in this universe, whether it’s life after the reapers in the Milky Way or Andromeda 2 or something else entirely. I guess we could be seeing them trying to drum up interest in new projects with this as a stopgap. Maybe EA execs had a sit-down with the Bioware guys and said ok, you had your fun with Anthem, now let’s get back to your core competencies. Maybe we’ll get all new stuff, they’ve been talking like that for a while. But that’s what I really want to see, not something I’ve played a dozen times already.

Yes, I would much rather have an Andromeda 2 or a total reboot. Or Knights of the Old Republic remastered cough hint cough. But this is just fine and I’d immediately buy it plus any BS DLC they throw at me because I’m a sucker for ME.
I wonder, do people really associate Shephard much with the default character image? I customized his look on every playthrough, so my idea of what Shephard looks like is… very far from this.

The 4K upscaled videos have been finished for ME3 and added to the unified ALOT combined installer. They come in at 57.73 GB.
