Just to be clear, I didn’t write the dissertation!

Meh. That guy is self indulgently over-thinking his space opera.

Maybe, but it’s a good reminder for those of us who’ve forgotten most of the plot or never played the DLC. I’m primed for the story in ME3 now.

Oops. You still get credit for the link.

so i dont suppose anyone has found any sort of skill planner for me3 yet? I want to mess with the skills and check various upgrades without having to wait through the 29 minute enforced intro.

So I managed to pick up Mass Effect 3 on Friday and beat the game on Sunday.

We need a Mass effect 3 spoiler thread!!!

ending argh.

The ending disturbed me, it’s like a lose/lose situation. feel like I just read another Game of the throne book.

huh? The game is out already some places??

Nope. No idea how he got hold of it. I do know, however, that talking about THE ENDING of a 20+ hour game before it’s even released is incredibly dickish.

No. I didn’t click the spoiler tag. It’s still a dick move.

Someone probably broke street. Not uncommon. The local craigslist pirate is also advertising burned copies for $5 right now. I hate that fucker.

Seriously. That’s get-a-rope levels of nefarious.

Why on earth would someone buy a game like ME3 just to beat it two days later? Uh, congrats I guess? Way to get your $60 or $80 worth? Sheesh.

Also, Idrisz - are you aware (and you may not be) that you can create your OWN forum threads, rather than demanding someone else who has beaten the game a solid 4 days before anyone else will (on your own time frame) to do it?

Even in a spoiler thread, I’d be pretty damn furious with anyone posting the ending before a game is even released. Or even in the first week.

There’s already a spoiler thread, if you can control yourself long enough to find it.

I briefly entertained the idea of asking people to put endgame discussion and plot twists in spoiler tags even in the spoiler thread for about a week. Despite the herp derp about spoiler threads, it’d be nice to discuss the game as we play it. But that won’t work if people have already finished it.

It was probably a dumb idea anyway. I want to give the game the best chance, so I should stay out of there until I’m done.

I usually completely avoid the spoiler threads until I’m done with the game.

Can we talk about the changes to the Morality system? Cause I seriously love this change. You can read about it here, it doesn’t contain any spoilers about the story, just discusses the changes.

Basically, you will gain “general” rep that isn’t either Paragon or Renegade, which means that, for example, playing Renegade without being a speciesist will not harm your chances of getting Renegade dialog options.

To anyone who’s played it: I’d like another confirmation that we can change our class after importing a save. I already saw the Bioware tweet about it.

Obviously that’s the normal way to do it. Everyone does that. But sometimes it’s nice to squint through a spoiler thread so I can discuss things while I play it.

It doesn’t work as well for a story-driven game though. The surprises and twists are a huge part of the experience.

That article makes me happy in that they basically admit that the crew member fights in ME2 were a bad idea.

?. Perhaps I didn’t read it well enough, but I didn’t see them admitting anything of the sort? Then again, I don’t really know what you mean by crew member fights? Are you refering to the only real one I remember between Jack and Miranda? I personally though that added a lot to the game, so I don’t see what’s bad about that.
All in all, I just don’t understand your post at all, literally. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I just don’t get what you mean?

As for the Renegade-Paragon thing: in ME2 there where several occasions where I wanted to go Paragon but felt obliged to go Renegade for the score, and the other way around. So I’m quite happy with the new approach. I do hope they kept the ‘interupts’ though!

Hmm. Mass Effect 3 or Super Tuesday coverage?

I think I know which will win for me.

What’s Super Tuesday?
