No idea what you’re talking about. Amazon never charges my pre-orders until my order actually ships.
It’s negotiable. Tali’s a little too exuberant for me. Plus I can’t remember how I decided one of the major decisions in ME2, so maybe I should kick her off pre-emptively.
As I’ve said before, Zaeed was great because he barely said anything. He was DLC so he was too limited to have any issues. I already laid down the law during his loyalty mission. I just need to make sure I don’t put him in charge of anything.
But really, everyone except Garrus and Joker should consider themselves on notice.
Yeah, but when he did talk all Zaeed had were a bunch of old man stories about how he totally killed all these dudes. He’s not all that entertaining.
Hey, do you want to defeat the Reapers or just hang out with your friends?

Blasphemy! Zaeed stories are great and I’ll not hear a word against them. They all ended with everyone else, including his squadmates, very dead and lots of stuff on fire. That’s how I like my war stories.
Also, Inferno Grenade!
I was all set to hate this stupid game but I come here and soon I’m thinking, Hmmm, day one?
“Oh and hey, you know those Blue Sun mercs? That was totally me. Yeah, I don’t care what you heard.”

This thread is tempting me to kill as many characters that will appear in ME3 as I can just to see what happens when I eventually get it.
Actually that sounds kinda fun. Now I need a list of who will be in ME3…
That just means fewer people to throw off the Normandy though.
These two feelings are compatible.

Glad to know that, then. I have been unwilling to pre-order from them because they don’t explicitly say they won’t charge until shipping (which I assumed was the usual industry practice). And I have Prime, so I was motivated to find out.
BTW, the Emily Wong ANN Twitter feed is hilariously cheesy.
Motivation for attack still unclear. Would surrendering lead to mercy, or would they put us on spikes?
This is Emily Wong. Officer Pearson died trying to save students at his son’s school, one of countless such heroes. I’ll be back.
Only good thing about giant death machines is you can see them a long way off. Can see one burning LAX now.
I don’t know, that’s a step too far for me. I squirm at real news reporting as it is.

Who is this marketing tactic for exactly? It’s so completely dumb it’s funny in a sense, but I am also really embarrassed just giving that feed a click.
Apologies for poor typing earlier. Hands burned. At home. Have gotten medi-gel and doing better. #solcomms
Ok this one kinda made me chuckle.
I can’t stop reading it. It doesn’t make me want to play the game any more than I already want to, but it’s brightened my day by being loads of dumb.
It’s like reading a live feed of a Syfy movie.
On the other hand (to play Devil’s Advocate, I guess), Valve does this with Team Fortress 2. You can buy all kinds of stuff including boxes with randomized contents, or you can gradually unlock it all during the course of play. I think it’s a good idea in the long run, because it helps weekend warriors stay competitive.
Edit, sidebar: In the demo, you could choose between Kaiden and Ashley. Does anyone know if the full game provides this option?

EA has been doing the same thing with the last couple of NHL games also…you can either play through X number of games, scoring X goals, winning X fights, etc, OR you can pay points to unlock that +5 speed booster, 3 slot helmet, or whatever. And of course if you don’t spend points or spend weeks/months unlocking stuff, then you’re at a big disadvantage rating-wise against other people online in the EASHL mode.
Does the European proxy trick work for early unlocking a la skyrim?
Edit: never mind EU unlock isn’t for a few days.
I have read of Valve banning accounts when a person uses a proxy to unlock a game before a publisher has authorized it. And they’re a bit more customer-friendly than EA.
Soooo… how insane is it to pick this one up if I have not played the series? I played the first one briefly before ditching it due to generic missions, large chunks of dialogue tree flushing, and a rather stilted combat/ turn based mechanic. The multiplayer in ME3 though has me willing to look again, and now I wonder if I should play ME2 first for the story (but really want to enjoy ME3 while MP is still fresh).
Thoughts?
