So I got a code for a M55 Argus rifle from Amazon, and activated it on the Bioware Social site. But I now have no idea how I get it installed since it doesn’t show up in Origin, there’s no in-game option for it, etc.
Is there no way to pause during cutscenes on the 360 except by hitting the guide button?
Once activated, go to the “My Games” menu on the left and select “Your registered game content.” On the next page should be a catalog of all the extra stuff you’re authorized for. Each item for a PC version of a game has a download link for an .EXE installer. That installer will auto-detect the location of the game’s folder on your hard drive. For the console versions, you’ll get a “more info” link instead that explains the steps to get the content in your copy of the game.
That’s the only way I knew how in ME2, haven’t started ME3 yet but going by the demo, that hasn’t changed. I don’t think there’s any way to do it on PC.
If only you could use the controller on the PC…

using controller for ME3 on pc is akin to playing the game without your right hand, mouse+keyboard control just so much better than 360 control.
I dug around in Origin a bit and found where it was already installed. Never d/l an .exe.
Maybe this have been mentioned before, but the 360 version apparently has a quick save option:
There’s a PC-style quick-save function. Just hit the Back button on your controller and, as long as you’re not in a combat sequence or cutscene where saves are prohibited, the game will do a quick-save.

Nice. I never understood why console games usually don’t have this feature. I mean, it’s not like it’s some kind of hard problem to solve.
It’s not? Then where the hell did checkpoint hell come from? Goddamn.
Anyway - just discovered I don’t have ME1 on Steam. I can’t believe I bought a copy on spinnydisc, but I guess I must have. Now, worth $20 to go through the original again?

Okay, slight spoiler question about From Ashes. VERY, VERY SLIGHT. I mean, this box is here mostly to avoid those people who really, really hate spoilers.
I just have to know…
What does his voice sound like? Their audio design has been very good so far - the two tone of the Turians, the pitch constrained Salarians, the hiss of the Quarians and the dry, rich voice of the Drell. What does a [REDACTED] sound like?
Delta, there should be some Youtube videos floating around which answer that question.

Wow. Unexpected, and all kinds of awesome.
I started with hardcore difficult and was going to come and say how easy it was - at least until that last fight on Mars. Between grenades, wave after wave of flanking baddies, it took me too many times to finally win that fight. About my worse performance yet in any ME game - I’m embarrassed.
Part of me wonders if it’s a Buckaroo Banzai reference now…

I played exactly two multiplayer matches and my galactic readiness level rose ten percent (three when we made it to wave six, seven when we cleared everything).
FWIW.
A question about weapon mods. If you mod a weapon, is that weapon modded for your squad mates or just you? Anyone know?
