I have an i5 760 running at 3.2G and I have not really found it to be a problem with anything except maybe Civ6 where the end game turn times were unbearable.
Yeah, like @Jorn_Weines said, the physical copy of an Origin (or Steam, or Blizzard, etc.) game is just going to tie the key to your account and then it’s in your library like normal after that. Often (though more and more rare these days) you get the initial gold candidate version on the disc and you can install from that instead of downloading, and then patch from there, but more and more I’m finding the box just has the key alone and you download the entire game.
Amazon are trying to compete with Best Buy’s Gamer’s Club Unlocked program, which offers a similar discount on new games. Note, I believe only the physical console versions are covered by these promotions. If you want PC or digital version you’ll have to go elsewhere.
I can’t remember offhand what game it was for, but I did the 20% off Amazon thing recently. First “physical” game I’ve purchased since 2007 or so. I was immediately reminded of why I prefer to just buy digitally when my empty shell of a box that contained my Steam key arrived a day late due to weather issues at a UPS warehouse. :)
I’ve ordered a few games with the $48 price from Amazon, including Final Fantasy XV, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, Dark Souls III (XBO), and some other game I’m not remembering) and they all arrived “release day delivery” for free, and $48. It’s kind of awesome.
Well, Horizon hasn’t arrived yet, but I got a note it shipped yesterday, so I expect I’ll get it tomorrow. For cheaper than almost anywhere else, at that. Kind of an awesome program. In fact, last year I got $60 worth of savings from this one feature alone, and now I have a PS4 and a 3DS again, and a Switch at some point, I expect to save even more this year.
We have strong characters, great gameplay, romances, and more, all dealing with mature themes.
And softcore space porn.
It’s not really a problem unless they can’t sell in certain store fronts or I guess under whatever the heck the age is for a Mature rating is these days.
I can see the EA exec fuming in a board room about the success of The Witcher 3 and insisting it was because of the nudity. Bioware was likely forced to adhere to a strict quote of tits and ass.
