IF!! I cried through 1/3 of ME3. I’m not even kidding. Literally sobbing.
That’s good to know! And I really loved ME2 because of the team member stories/missions - I really didn’t care (too much) about the overarching story.
I have nearly 2 weeks off at the end of the year so will have plenty of gaming time - will get back to ME3, finish that up and then start ME:A.

MEA never had any payoff or a third act that went anywhere. Now it will never go anywhere and there will be no epilogue for the quarian ark. No, some lame tie-in novel doesn’t count.
And that’s a bummer, but it’s by no means an incomplete experience.

Yes, it’s still worth playing. Unlike Anthem.
I agree that tie in novels don’t count but in this case the latter two are written by multi-Hugo winning author N. K. Jemisin and multi-Hugo nominated author Catherynne Valente, so they are almost certainly worth your time.
How did I not know NK Jemison write a Mass Effect novel?! I must read this immediately.
I posted this article in the Anthem thread and it’s 99% about Anthem, but I wanted to add it here because of this bit at the very end of the article:
''In addition to the much-anticipated Dragon Age 4 , which BioWare teased last year, a new Mass Effect game is in very early development at the Edmonton office under director Mike Gamble, a longtime BioWare producer."
I may be mistaken, but I believe this is the first acknowledgement that a new Mass Effect title is being worked on at Bioware, and not just some hypothetical future release.
That’s good news. As is Dragon Age 4.

I saw that and was wondering where the heck to put it. I’m really starting to look forward to their output, maybe we should have a new thread for their studio.

They only just formed the studio in January. Let’s wait until they disband before we make a thread. :P
Now see, that’s the kind of thing rei would say. Somebody’s got to keep some optimism around here.

I did sound a little like rei to me too. That’s why I added the tongue symbol.
Oh is that what that is. I figured it was cyrillic or smething.

Multiplayer servers apparently have been turned off for MEA. ME3 remains up for now.
Not the case on Xbox, at least. Just had a quick pickup match.
I know this is not a new game, but I haven’t played many lately. Since I bought a new computer I bought this in the steam sale. I’m sure not going to read through the whole thread, but I have a quick question. On the first planet there are a bunch of boxes with glowing icons which I cannot observe nor scan. Am I missing something to do with them or are they just scenery?
Or a little more info. By first planet, you mean the one you crash onto, with the floating rocks and lightning strikes? Where do you find the boxes? Any context? I’ve played the game a few times, I can’t really remember this specifically but maybe you can jog my memory.
