So far I’m able to spend it. I think the original logic was pay phones in LA were 35 cents for local calls, so I was sure to have two phone calls in an emergency.
I end up using it for parking meters usually. I also tend to come home with a lot more change after a day, but only take the 70 cents back out the next morning. It drives Wifey up the wall.
